An accused student is suing Yale University for concluding that the brief absence of a condom “during an otherwise consensual encounter” was sexual assault.
“John Doe” alleges that “gender bias was a motivating factor” in the decision against him by Dean of the College Marvin Chun, which resulted in his suspension.

Short of pursuing a degree that involves lots of real LAB TIME and real employment prospects, I’d admonish any young person today to NOT go to college.

Another mid-late 80’s college kid here. If my college years were judged by todays PC/gender/liberal prism, I would be drawn, quartered, and burned at the stake.
It’s amazing how woman aren’t even slightly held responsible for the behavior they choose to engage in anymore. There’s not even a pretense of it. They’re supposed to be permitted to go through life as perpetual children pursuing desire satisfaction without consequences, it appears.
When my son reaches college age, one of the criteria I’m going to urge on him in selecting a school will be the school’s history in political insanity. I’m thinking of suggesting he shoot for the Air Force Academy, though I know that’s extremely difficult to get into.
Not a prude here, I had my share of stupidity in college, but these situations just makes it more and more apparent the wisdom of morality.
Just tell him you will only pay for a school that does not seek to change American values.

When was the last time a Nobel prize winner or really meaningful scholarly accomplishment came out of Yale? The greater the political correctness, the lower the academics. These institutions are withering as centers of scholarship and inquiry.
I read the whole story. His treatment was outrageous. Any young man in college who dates a fellow student is an idiot. And I agree with the others, if your degree can’t get you into a lucrative career, then forget it and go to trade school.
If I remember correctly, the rape charges against Julian Assange in Sweden were based on something like this—having consensual sex without a condom, and the woman (or maybe it was two women) decided it was rape.

And consider as potential spouses women who live off campus, women who are not college students, or who are foreign nationals whose moral values have yet to disappear.

I’m thankful that I sowed my oats in the 70s. With all of these restrictions and rules it takes the fun out of the whole deal.
I am continually staggered by the damage that Feminism has done to women.
The notion that women prior to about 1960 did not ever have jobs, were quiet little flowers and were totally at the mercy of big strong men is just ridiculous. Plenty of women had careers if they wanted careers, women had tremendous power within families, and women could be ladylike and men could be gentlemanly and mutual respect was commonly agreed upon.
I look around today and I think women have forcefully, rudely, obnoxiously given themselves about the worst deal anyone could ask for. Idiots.
