One bullet point in the example simply states Men Are Equal. The example is intended to be humorous (I think). It's basically Lincoln's Gettysburg Address reduced to 2 PowerPoint slides.

I use it a lot to teach Sunday school .... No wonder Christianity got off to such a slow start ... no PowerPoint.

Yep. Powerpoint is about as boring as it gets. On the plus side, this is his “Please Clap” moment.

So, his plan is to give 16 year-olds a universal basic income ...
That ought not turn into a problem.

I have several bitter clingers of PowerPoint still around.
They insist on Lotus Notes being kept around too.

I once had to explain shipping options to a group of layman with no grasp of shipping vernacular. The only PowerPoint slide they remembered was one which showed a reefer (as in a refrigerated shipping container) and a reefer (as in a marijuana leaf).

Yep. And television! :)
I’m a huge believer in images. A picture really is worth a thousand words. While talking about the dead sea scrolls, the background was a photo of the area and some of the cave entrances. It gives people something to help glue the knowledge to their brain.

That could be even worse!

A good deal of time when I have sat through a PowerPoint presentation, they have problems getting the computer to connect with the projector. I hope President Yang’s people test that out beforehand.

Yes, this is the nerdiest presidential campaign in history!" There are several types of temperament. People with the rational/melancholy type of temperament appreciate figures and lists and other forms of order and organization of information. They would not find power point presentations boring or a waste of time.

Can relate on the fonts issue, thats a pain in the butt.
Word is a whole nother can of worms. Most people dont know how to really use it. If you arent using styles rigorously in any serious document, and dont edit with paragraph marks turned on (formatting is carried in the paragraph marks), you probably dont know how to properly use Word. If Im dealing with a document someone else has created, I can tell in about 2s how Word-adept they are, or are not, by turning paragraph marks on and doing a quick inspection.
Agree on Word vs. PowerPoint.

Yang has called for universal basic income and lowering the voting age to 16 as part of his presidential platform. What an idiot.

Last week it was reported that Yang is working on a plan to give out $1,000 per month to two families in New Hampshire and Iowa as a way of demonstrating the benefits of his "Freedom Dividend" plan. Sounds a lot like bribery to me.
