When he kicked off his presidential campaign last week, Joe Biden centered his rationale for running on a claim that Donald Trump referred to racists and neo-Nazis in Charlottesville as very fine people.
Mr. Biden probably is not connected enough to social media to know it, but this claim has been thoroughly defeated by online pushback, led by Dilbert creator Scott Adams and others. Wikipedia’s account of the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in the Virginia college town makes clear that Mr. Trump said the opposite. CNN’s Jake...

Lies are all the dims have.
Same here but I will never pay for news.
Except I will donate to free republic. :)
But unfortunately too many people believe them. For example my wife, Charlene, had lunch yesterday with two also retirees from the school system, ladies she has known for over 20 years. One of them started ranting about how messed up the economy was. When questioned as to how it was all a mess the answer was the stock market has plunged, unemployment was at its highest, and people were starving because wages had bottomed out. This person would not even listen to the truth and when told to look at the news or Internet the dim replied it was all lies.
Biden was echoing the Clintons-----then-Pres Bill signed into law stiffer penalties for inner city criminals....... Hillary took to the mic to burnish her ambitions, and stupidly called the black criminals "super-predators." "We have to bring them to heel," Hillary insisted. Black protesters showed up at her 2016 campaign events, reminding her of her choice of words to describe them.
You misspelled retards. (not your wife, her lunch friends.)
Joe Biden in 1993 speech pushing crime bill warned of ‘predators on our streets’ who were ‘beyond the pale’:

It’s a shame that WSJ articles are no longer accessible by using outline.com.
For a while, I was also able to obtain full articles via social media links, but that, too, was thwarted.
I simply refuse to pay for the right to read news online.
On DU they had a thread about the 3.2% GDP. One of the comments was that it couldn’t be real because their area wasn’t experiencing an economic lift. It dawned on me that they probably lived in a liberal city or state and couldn’t put two and two together.
True. That Charlottesville lie is becoming another infamous Big Lie like "hands up don't shoot" that was retracted later but still is repeated by The View type ditzes. Michael Brown's blood and dna inside the police car proved he was trying to beat and kill the police officer and wrestle his gun away. No hands were up. Liars.
Possibly for the one. But the other is a Republican, just will not argue with stupidity. She remained still during the whole episode. The reason the dim was mad is because her sister had sold some stock at a loss and was blaming President Trump and the conservatives for her sister's stupidity. In doing so she was as stupid.
Byedone. There’s no fool like an old fool.
You must admit it is easier to promulgate the lie when you have the Kenyan Usurper in the White House preaching the lie.
True. So thankful the Obummer years are over. Finally.
Their circumstances may be even more limited than that. They're living in their parent's basements and haven't gotten a raise in their allowances.
The WSJ must want to make money... Remember the story of Dan’s Bake Sale?
why bother with wsj stuff?
“but this claim has been thoroughly defeated by online pushback,”
Well then, this is dispositive. The Old media will report this 24/7 until the American public understands that Joe Biden lied about this. We can always count on the media to speak truth to power.
