Along with every other Democrat, he surrendered his advantage when he lied about Donald Trump.

When he kicked off his presidential campaign last week, Joe Biden centered his rationale for running on a claim that Donald Trump referred to racists and neo-Nazis in Charlottesville as very fine people.

Mr. Biden probably is not connected enough to social media to know it, but this claim has been thoroughly defeated by online pushback, led by Dilbert creator Scott Adams and others. But unfortunately too many people believe them. For example my wife, Charlene, had lunch yesterday with two also retirees from the school system, ladies she has known for over 20 years. One of them started ranting about how messed up the economy was. When questioned as to how it was all a mess the answer was the stock market has plunged, unemployment was at its highest, and people were starving because wages had bottomed out. This person would not even listen to the truth and when told to look at the news or Internet the dim replied it was all lies.

In a 1993 speech, Biden used racist-type language that is coming back to haunt the 2020 wannabe: Biden described a "cadre of young people (he means Black people), tens of thousands of them, born out of wedlock, without parents, without supervision, without any structure, without any conscience ... because they literally have not been socialized....Biden said if we dont focus on them now a portion of them, will become the predators 15 years from now."

Black protesters showed up at her 2016 campaign events, reminding her of her choice of words to describe them.

True. That Charlottesville lie is becoming another infamous Big Lie like "hands up don't shoot" that was retracted later but still is repeated by The View type ditzes.
