When it comes to maintaining gun safety, the smaller communities of Nevada simply arent playing the same game as Las Vegas.
Thats not to knock the rural areas. Its simply a statement of fact.
With 42 million-plus visitors coming to Southern Nevada annually, its to the credit of Clark County commissioners that theyre already talking about enhancing gun safety measures for the Las Vegas Strip.
That conversation is a bit speculative at this point, due to a state law that prevents local governments from passing gun measures any stricter than those in Nevada statutes.
But with the Legislature considering a bill that would eliminate that terrible law, its perfectly fine for commissioners to already be discussing local policy that would protect the millions of visitors who visit the Strip and tens of thousands of Las Vegas residents who work there.

The less virtuous a people, the greater the need for laws.
Once the country made the switch from mostly God respecting to mostly atheist/agnostic, the die was cast. We will need more and more control of the citizenry via laws as more and more people become a law unto themselves - when they can get away with it.

“When it comes to maintaining gun safety, the smaller communities of Nevada simply arent playing the same game as Las Vegas.”
And that’s a good thing. Up in Douglas County, where we just bought a second home, people routinely “carry” and no one bats an eyebrow! But the people there ARE concerned about Clark County, with its majority-holding population, ruining the rest of the state with its Liberal Bull$hit laws.
