BALTIMORE -- Juan Grant, who led protests across Baltimore demanding answers after the arrest and in-custody death of his best friend Freddie Gray in 2015, was shot dead on Saturday while driving to his grandmother's house in west Baltimore.
The 33-year-old's murder came on the fourth anniversary of Gray's funeral and the citywide riots that highlighted the frustration and distrust with the police department and the deep divide that exists to this day in Maryland's largest city.
A day after Grant's death, another gunman in the city's western district fired into a crowd of people enjoying an afternoon cookout, killing one man and injuring seven others.

While its true that Baltimore is dealing with soaring crime, drugs and inept political leaders, not to mention being broke and having large sections of the city look like a war zone with no hope of recovery, at least those racist Republicans and conservatives aren’t in charge.

So true. LBJ’s goal of having “n*****s voting Democrat for 200 years” by passing his “War on Poverty” was as destructive to Black society as the atomic bomb was to Hiroshima. These programs led to a concentration of Blacks in Democrat-run cities where it was easy to get on welfare, leading to the destruction of most of our big cities.
Baltimore has some excellent hospitals. I’m betting that many doctors will be moving out soon.
