It used to be that we were told that Trump was fostering Trump antisemitism and driving a new wave of antisemitism in the US. But the cartoon depicts him as a Jew. Well, which is it? Is he fostering antisemitism, or is he now a closet Jew being led by Israel, depicted as a Jewish dog? We used to say that images conjured up memories of 1930s antisemitism. This didnt conjure it up; this showed us exactly what it looked like.

This isnt like some story of unclear antisemitism. This isnt a dog whistle. This is a dog. This is antisemitic on numerous levels. Its time to say no more. Its time to say They shall not pass.
This should be a defining moment. It is a defining moment because one of Americas most prestigious newspapers did this, not some small town newspaper somewhere.

The NYT is pathetic, and clearly antisemitic. As I've mentioned on other threads I suspect the rationale for publication was the fact that it was being placed in the International Edition only, where the market for Jew hating and to some extent Trump hating is greater. That's a conscious decision. Were it an error it would have been printed in the US as well. Fair to call the NYT anti American by distributing anti American hate internationally as well
It’s interesting about the weird contradictions on the left: sometimes he’s an anti-semite, sometimes he’s an evil, Jewish zionist. Sometimes he’s a rich, criminal, out-of-touch New Yorker, sometimes he’s a sweaty, badly dressed Walmart shopper.
The Left makes no cohesive sense anymore. At least, in the 20th century, their support of workers (fake or real) made sense.
They’ve completely lost the plot.
Oh, yes, America’s poodle. The Brits love that poodle stuff. Anybody they don’t agree with is a “poodle.”
