Israeli politicians responding to the shooting at the Chabad Synagogue in Poway, San Diego, during Shabbat services tied it to a cartoon published by the New York Times which was accused of anti-Semitic themes.
In the cartoon published on Thursday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is portrayed as a dog wearing a collar featuring a blue Star of David, guiding a blind President Donald Trump who is shown wearing a kippah (skullcap).
Member of Knesset-elect Michal Shir stated on Sunday that where hatred is being printed, hate crimes will be committed.
Lori Gilbert Kays horrific anti-Semitic murder, while she was praying in the synagogue in San Diego, took place on the weekend when the New York Times published an anti-Semitic caricature reminiscent of the (Nazi) Der Sturmer cartoons. Where hatred is being printed, hate crimes will be committed. The time has come for a newspaper that takes an explicit anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish line to understand that the words it is writing are dangerous.
Israel's amassaddor to the United Nations, Danny Dannon, that anti-Semitic words, the demonstrators and the cartoons turn into shootings against worshipers in synagogues. Anti-Semitism continues to raise its head and take victims. This is the time for action, for a determined war and not for weak and hollow condemnations that allow the forces of hate to revive dark periods in history.
Yair Netanyahu, Netanyahus son, called the Times an anti-Semitic newspaper and charged that it deliberately hid the news about the extermination of millions of Jews in Europe in WWII!
Israeli Minister Gilad Erdan assailed the Times for publishing an anti-Semitic cartoon, shocking and reminiscent of the Nazi propaganda during the Holocaust. Anyone who really fights racism and hatred of Jews should demand that the newspaper apologize and dismiss anyone responsible for publishing the Nazi-style cartoon.
Israels Consul General in New York Dani Dayan contacted the newspapers staff and expressed his alarm at the publication.
The image was offensive, and it was an error of judgement to publish it. It was provided by The New York Times News Service and Syndicate, which has since deleted it, said the editors note posted on the Times Twitter account.
The note added that the cartoon, which has since been deleted it, played on anti-Semitic tropes.
The vile language of the cretin’s “manifesto” could have come straight from any of thousands of pinko professors in “academia”
The Alfred Rosenbergs of the New York Times are responsible for the present-day Kristillnacht going on in America.
Yes. The nyt’s hate led to this. The nyt owners must be put in jail for this,
The term ‘alt right’ decribes people who more accurately should be called ‘Alt Left’. If right and left are to have any objective meaning at all it should be defined in America as the way the parties sit in Congress. The Nazi’s were a alternative form of socialism. Socialists in America sit on the left or Rat side of Congress.
The NYTimes is a despicable piece of excrement.
But to blame them for the shooting is EXACTLY what the left does to us.
The shooter was to blame, not the Times.
There is a Prager U video that agrees with you:What is the alt Right>
Isnt it special how the Sultzberger Clan (Jews) are happy to trash their Jewish brethren in Israel. It just shows how different Israeli Jews are from the bulk of Jews in America who seemingly have forsaken their heritage for Secular Progressivism, or worse, Outright Marxism.
p.s. I am glad to hit these lib/commies with their own weapons sometimes.
Thanks for the video. It certainly makes the case. Stalin and Hitler both use to be praised by the left. It use not until Hitler invaded Russia that Stalin himself moved his former bed buddy to the other side of the bed.
True, they are the descendants of the golden calf!
The same New York Slimes who called Sarah Palin a co conspirator to murder because she put a DOT on a MAP had the nerve to make an anti Semitic cartoon depicting Trump walking a Netanyahu dog..disgusting..but not surprising since the Slimes hate Jews..and this happened on the same day a demented anti Semite tried to slaughter as many Jews as possible on the last day of Passover..yes I see the connection between the two
NYT publish any hand-wringing pieces worrying about “backlash against anti-Semites caused by the unfortunate events in San Diego” yet?
Where’s Ilhan Omar? Usually she can be counted on to say something brilliant whenever there’s a terrorist incident.
I deeply regret that once AGAIN, the “Times” has verified the accuracy of my tagline. I wish to hell they’d stop, but, of course, they won’t, will they?
Not only that, the contention that this young nut saw that day’s INTERNATIONAL edition of the Times that is not even distributed in this country, and only then decided to commit this atrocity is absurd.
When you take a good point and extent it to the point of absurdity, you make it a bad point.
No, I think the phrase “what goes around comes around” applies here. Don’t the NYT, other MSM outlets and their followers consistently blame so called “hateful rhetoric “ of DJT or other “right wingers “ for every damn mass shooting or hate crime?
As a Jew and a human being I am sickened by what happened yesterday, but I say, in light of NYT cartoon, “blame away.” Or as Obama’s henchman once said, dont, let a good crisis go to waste.
Thanks Stepan12.

The current publisher, Arthur Sulzberger Jr., has been an Episcopalian since birth. His dad was nominally Jewish, aka secular. Neither would consider Israeli's as brethren, I doubt Jr. considers Jews brethren.
