Music superstar Cher hit back at 2020 Democratic frontrunner Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday after he argued that criminals serving time in prison, including the Boston Marathon bomber, should be able to vote.
During a CNN town hall on Monday night, Sanders was asked by a Harvard student if he supports enfranchising people like Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, whom she noted was a convicted terrorist and murderer, as well as those convicted of sexual assault.
Sanders said he wanted a vibrant democracy with a higher voter turnout. He argued that despite being in prison for any crime, everybody can vote and such a right should be given even for terrible people.

The Burn is also a Commie Causey. All to common these days.
Paul McCartney is a musical superstar. Mick Jagger is a musical superstar. Elton John is a musical superstar. Cher is barely a musical footnote. That said, she finally got something right.
All right, Cher. The beat goes on.

Apparently Cher got a lot of pushback from Democrats who demand terrorists have the right to vote.
It is about the Democratic Party's effort to make up for the loss of the votes of middle America. They, the Democrats, are desperately looking under every rock and in every cranny (and grave) for potential votes because they know they have lost the 51% of the electorate needed to win.
wow
“they have lost the 51% of the electorate needed to win.”
It’s a start, and the objective should be to win elections in (R) landslides every time.
Cher gonna end up a Freeper before it’s all over.
Reckon there's been quite a lot of things rubbed off on Cher.
“Cher’s an emotional dingbat period.... She bases all her decisions on what she ‘feels’.”
The Left has made it their specialty to manipulate such people with their rhetoric. The fact that they are going so far over the top, that it is glaringly obvious to the likes of Cher, is a good sign.
To tread the narrow path between the rule of the mob and the tyranny of Caesar, the framers were never deceived by Bernie Sanders' notion that the vote was more precious than the ultimate goal of a good representative government.
Hence, the framers had no qualms about limiting the franchise to whites, to men, the property owners and to citizens. They were quite at ease to deny the vote to slaves, females, non-freeholders. Their object was not pure democracy but a representative government of interests, always checked and balanced.
The idea that the object of our great experiment is democracy alone is wrongheaded. The object of our constitutional Republic is good government in which the tendency toward tyranny is checked by democracy (in the House of Representatives) and the tendency toward mob rule is checked by the Senate, the college of electors, title III courts, and division of powers, not only on the federal level but between the federal level and the states.
There can be no more clear definition of "the mob" than the occupants of prison. Why would we risk our Republic, our checks and balances, our carefully but precariously balanced government to criminals? Why would we risk our system under the rule of law to convicted lawbreakers?
The reason, of course, is that our modern-day neo-communists are essentially Jacobins who fervently want to pitch this country into the hands of the mob. History tells us that the man on horseback succeeds the mob. So the Jacobins were followed by Napoleon and, equally, this experiment in mobocracy will lead inevitably first to terror and then to tyranny.
Leftists are by nature God players, who reflexively exempt themselves from the ravages of their own policies. In this case they assume that they will emerge in the saddle.
The wrong half died in a skiing incident.
I didn’t realize that Tsarnaev was an American citizen. How can he vote for anything? Anyone who takes or infringes on the rights of others should lose his/her rights.
Bernie is the DNCs North Korea... He will rattle the cage and sabres until he reveives his payoff... than he will go silent and play nice...
Kim Jung Bernie....
If bernie thinks all American people have the right to vote, why the limit of having to be 18 years old? Seems there are some appropriate limits we can put on voting rights and being convicted of a major crime is also one of them.
JoMa
I'm not so sure. Look what rubbed off on her daughter.
I opt for "batsh@t crazy".
The young people will support Bernie not only because of all the freebies promised, but because its a novelty to support an 80 year old crazy man.
“I have the suspicion that Cher may very well be privately more conservative than she lets on”
Many years ago I read that when Chastity came out of the closet, Cher (tolerant liberal) was the parent that was all freaked out and pissed off. Conservative Sonny was the accepting one.
And Kamala Harris seemed to agree with Bernie. She’s open to “having a discussion” about it. Notice she ofen doesn’t make strong statements, attempting to be all things to all people.
Last night on “Tipping Point”, Liz Wheeler (OAN) had some interesting things to say about felons voting, liberty, etc.
