Despite supporting ISIS, American Taliban jihadist John Walker Lindh gets early release from prison
American Taliban fighter John Walker Lindh will be released from prison next month after agreeing to strict restrictions on his internet use, communications and travel.
Unless Lindh is on 24-hour watch, he can easily violate these restrictions. According to recent court filings obtained by NBC News, Judge T.S. Ellis III has barred Lindh from communicating with anyone online in any language other than English. How can that possibly be enforced?
Lindh also will not be permitted to watch any video content related to terrorism.
But what about videos related to the Islamic teachings that led him to embrace jihad terrorism in the first place?
It would be folly to think that Lindh will not take advantage of any opportunity to violate the conditions of his release: he has expressed support for the Islamic State (ISIS) and advocates for the global jihad. Nonetheless, as Jihad Watch has previously predicted, Lindh will likely become a hero of the Muslim victimhood circuit in the U.S., speaking at CAIR and ISNA conferences, demonizing the United States and slyly recruiting for jihad.
American Taliban fighter John Walker Lindh gets early release from 20-year jail sentence next month but is banned from using internet or travelling overseas, by Snejana Farberov, Daily Mail, April 18, 2019:
American Taliban fighter John Walker Lindh will be released from prison next month after agreeing to strict restrictions on his internet use, communications and travel.
Lindh, 38, will walk out of federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, a free man on May 23 after spending 17 years behind bars.
Lindh was among a group of Taliban fighters who were captured by US forces in November 2001, just months after the September 11 attacks and the beginning of the war in Afghanistan.
Under the conditions of his release, the California native will not be allowed to own an internet-capable device, such as a smartphone or a tablet, without permission from his probation officer.
Lindh also will not be permitted to watch any video content related to terrorism, and his probation officer will be able to keep tabs on his Internet use.
According to recent court filings obtained by NBC News, Judge T.S. Ellis III has barred Lindh from communicating with anyone online in any language other than English.
While on probation for the next three years, Lindh will be required to undergo mental health counseling and he wont be allowed to travel outside the US without the courts consent.
As a precaution he was forbidden from walking into any place that sells burner phones ... I’m sure they though of this, right?
It’s not as if he committed treason or anything...
I’m more impressed that we actually kept him locked up for 17 years. In Europe, after they’re arrested, they sit through a one hour class on why raping little girls is wrong, regardless of what they’re wearing, and they’re back out on the street that day.
We have truly lost our moral compass when we let these traitors live
Someone needs to make it their personal mission to correct this error . Just do it .
Johnny Taliban will probably get a gig at CNN or LSDMSNBC.
More confirmation that we no longer live in a civilized country. In one that is civilized this cretin would have been publicly hanged a long time ago.
A winchester model 70 at 500 yards would solve this problem.
The NSA and FBI must decide who will spy (oops domestic monitoring) and the CIA will ensnare any he leads us to because he can’t not contact his pals.
This guy is going to be trouble from now on. They should have kacked him where they found him. There is no way you are going to keep him away from the internet or his jihad buddies. I hate to say it but best hope is that Baba Yaga reaches out to him one dark night
We should force *ALL* prisoners to be in general pop.
Reduce the population the correct way.
NO protective custody.
Of course if it were up to me we’d have a ‘death lotto’ in each prison, one per week, put an end to the ‘I’ll just serve my time’ BS
And charge his family for the bullet.
The Chinese have the right idea.
