Ocasio-Cortez targeted by mystery multimillionaire donor
New York Post ^ | 21 April 2019 | Julia Marsh

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s surging national profile has inspired a trio of Republican opponents from her home district — along with a multimillionaire mystery donor who could help close the gap in her foes’ long-shot race against her.

Just three months after taking office, the Democratic socialist congresswoman’s challengers include an Egyptian American journalist, who has already tossed her hat in the ring, and an NYPD cop-turned-high-school-civics teacher and conservative talk-radio producer, both of whom are seriously exploring a run against her.

And the fledgling challengers could get help from a wealthy New Yorker committed to backing an Ocasio-Cortez opponent, a GOP big said.

“There’s definitely national energy and money on this race,” Bronx Republican Chairman Mike Rendino told The Post, adding that he has been in touch with a mega-bucks donor hell-bent on getting AOC tossed.

Rendino wouldn’t divulge the donor’s name but said the individual is “worth over $200 million, plus [has] connections to raise money in Manhattan.”

Tom Doherty, a former Pataki deputy, said a Republican challenger to AOC would be able to “raise real national money.

“We need to put individuals forward and make the incumbent work for re-election,” Doherty said.

The three potential contenders agree on one thing: They believe Ocasio-Cortez has neglected her district, which encompasses a northeast section of The Bronx including Throgs Neck and Parkchester and a northwest portion of Queens including Jackson Heights and College Point.

Not a great idea. Appropriately handled, she could be a millstone around the necks of the democrats in 2020. But the Stupid Party can’t even begin to visualize that, so they will huff and puff and waste a historic opportunity to paint the opposition for what they are, extreme leftwing radicals.

Sure, go ahead and knock her off in the primary, and send another not-quite-so left wing rat back in Her place. Way to go, idiots.

She has more problems than a Republican challenger. She still has to get her office's constituent services running, and that is making people in her district upset. If she keeps ignoring her voters, acting like a pretty princess and the office she holds is hers to do as she pleases, the Democrats will primary her out.

I would think driving Amazon away from NY is probably enough to get her primaried. She has made some powerful NY Dem enemies, and keep in mind Tip O’Neill said “all politics is local.”

For the life of me I cannot understand Cortez. She’s literally the dumbest person to ever get elected to such a high office. Her glaring ignorance shows each and every time she opens her mouth. And the media just praises her as though she’s some sort of goddess.

What I do not understand is her controllers, those that put her up to run, her puppet masters. I can see starting out stupid, but those in control would start teaching her or modifying her behavior so she does not look so damn dumb. And she’s ignoring her constituents back home, like being a TV news personality is what it’s all about.

Are her controllers as stupid as she is? Or is she just stupid and so proud of it that no one will tell her what to do? Or is she some dark deep product of Trump purposely acting stupid to show the country exactly what the dems are?

AOC needs to stay right where she is and do what she is doing.

The woman is a treasure for the GOP. Among her, Bernie, and that Muslim nitwit, they are dragging the Democratic party to the Socialist Precipice. This is a good thing. Most Americans want nothing to do with outright socialism. Independent voters and moderate Dems will desert the party as it moves left.

Count your blessings, get back into your foxhole, and watch the war.
