An Ohio mother says her two children were kicked out of a Christian school in Cuyahoga Falls because she is unmarried and the children have different fathers, The Beacon Journal reported Friday.
Summer Grant said her two daughters, 10-year-old Summara-Rayn and 7-year-old Summaia, were dismissed from the Chapel Hill Christian School last Friday, just weeks before school ends for the summer.
Just because Im not married and my children do have different fathers doesnt mean that I dont want my children to have a good education and I dont want them to know who Christ is in their education, said Grant, a single mother who works multiple jobs.
Grant said she was told by school administrator John Wilson that she was committing adultery and going against the Ten Commandments.
Wilson reportedly told her that while it isnt a requirement for her to be married, it is a strong recommendation. Other parents at the school are unmarried, Grant noted.
The school said in a statement to the Beacon Journal that parents sign a written agreement meant to reflect a common commitment to the cause of Christ, but Grant said she does not remember signing it.

Guess she is a victim of circumstances.
Didn’t Jeannie C. Riley write a song about this?
Well if schools can kick out conservatives then conservative schools can do the same.
Harper Valley PTA (thanks bing search)
The kids weren’t living in adultery, it was wrong to kick them out.
I have a hunch this is a “dominionist” school, and not truly a Christian school. It is unfathomable that a truly Christian school would do such a cruel thing to innocent children!
Wait, there are consequences to riding the carousel? I thought it was all fun and games and sex?!?!? InB4 “Judge not ...”
I don’t believe we have the whole story
The school has that right, yes, but if they had objections to her being a single parent, they should not have accepted the kid’s application to attend. Now, this just looks heavyhanded and undiplomatic. She’ll probably complain on Facebook, then have lots of parents speaking in support of her.
An unforced error of protocol.
She "doesn't remember" signing an agreement? and
Incident with daughter and bus driver that involved the Police.
We're not getting the whole story, probably at the school's lawyers advice.
We can imagine there is more to the story
Mom was right—Her kids need Christ. Not their fault she’s a slut. Maybe she can mend her ways like Mary Magdalene under the influence of Jesus Christ? Christians must embrace the concept of redemption—It is the heart of Holy Mother Church. To reject this is to reject Christ and his teachings.
In other words too late in the year to have to refund the tuition. Interesting timing.
I don't buy it. It's wrong for the school to not allow the kids to finish the year but there seems to be another side to this coin.
I’m sure there is more - much more - to the story.
My guess is that Mom was making a scene. Was flinging her immorality in their faces.
It’s sad but children pay for the sins of their parents.
Guess the 3 other children are under age 7 . She is 30.
No doubt some are asking what age is her youngest and is she NOW ready to stop having kids with other men?
I call BS on this.
My suspicion is that the girls were causing trouble of some kind and the school finally had it and expelled them, and the mom decides to play the victim card against the big, bad Christians.
The beam in their own eye prevented them from seeing.
