John Hickenlooper wants to be president. He’s one of a whole lot of Democrats who have entered the 2020 presidential race, and at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if my cat entered the race, the field has gotten so crowded.
Hickenlooper is touting his accomplishments on gun control to set himself apart from the pack. Unlike most other candidates, he can cite accomplishments beyond introducing bills that won’t go anywhere. Following the theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado in 2013, he signed several gun control bills into law.
What he’s not talking about is something that NBC News of all news organizations opted to look into. Hickenlooper isn’t talking about the backlash that followed.

I am not seeing the backlash. Some angry, but we went from governor Chickenpooper to pole dancing Polis. Things got even worse.

They have their knives out for Hickenlooper. He’s the only candidate who even resembles a Democrat not part of their insane clown posse.

The red flag law that sherrifs are resisting was under the pole dancer Polis. Chickenpooper’s biggest ban was the magazine capacity ban. That one caused me to buy so many 20, 30 and 40 round magazines that I never felt the need for until before the ban went into effect.

None of them were successful. I tried to beat both laws by buying what I thought I would want before the laws became effective. If the sheriffs were serious, they would SWAT raid the governor when he was in their county for any number of reasons including his entourage violating his own law and now he is an accomplice. If the SWAT teams treated the governor and his hired guns the same way liberal sheriffs treat citizens then the liberal politicians would have short lives.

None of them were successful.So only successful resistance counts as resistance? They did say they wouldn't enforce any new gun control and AFAIK they haven't. That is resistance in my book.
