A French judicial police official said investigators think an electrical short-circuit most likely caused Notre Dame Cathedral fire.

The official, who spoke anonymously about the ongoing investigation, said investigators still don

If any of you folks believe this hogwash...please contact me, for I have a bridge in Brooklyn, NYC, I would like to sell to you!!!

I'm not saying I believe it but I wonder why the firefighters who arrived after the first alarm didn't find the fire.

There was a fire, they didn't find it, they reset the alarm, and they left.

Regardless of how it started, the firefighters made a bad call and there needs to be an inquiry.

circuits with oversized fuses or breakers will heat up the wiring until it (the wire) becomes the fuse.

I've seen that happen. High power audio amplifiers in cars, installed by chimps who placed the proper 50 amp fuse near the amplifier and not right next to the battery. The 10 gauge wire from the positive terminal gets sliced open by the seat track/rail and becomes a light bulb filament.

Oooh oooh that smell.

You can’t even assume that - the investigators haven’t been allowed in to investigate yet!

Was the building insured? If so, by whom and for how much? Was the construction company hired to do renovations insured/bonded and for how much? I believe this fire will be investigated by more unbiased entities than the Macron government. It is extremely difficult to intentionally set a fire that burns a structure to the ground and to have that look accidental. It is also impossible to make an accidental fire appear to be intentionally set.

The actual cause will be found. The only question is will it become publicly known.

If that turns out to be true, I owe Islam an apology. But lying cover-ups are so common, will we ever be sure?

I don't think we ever will. The cowardly left tries so hard to excuse Islam every chance it gets, that it is becoming difficult to take them seriously when they say "not terror (Islam) related". It's like the many times in his life that Bill Clinton has probably said "I did not have sex with that woman". Maybe one of his many denials is the truth, but the pattern of lying has already been set.

It may be that it was a short circuit, but if it wasn't, I still think they'd say it is; so, we'll never know for sure.

The question for me is why didn't firefighters find the fire when the first alarm went off.

I have been thinking about this, and my first guess is that they never expected a fire to start in the roof. They probably believed that if there was a fire, it would have had to have began on some lower level.

If they didn't see the fire why didn't anyone smell the smoke?

Too high above them. Hot smoke goes up, not down.

Regardless of how the fire started the fire team has questions to answer.

Yes. I wouldn't want to be them right now.

DC circuits are also more prone to wires roasting. I install a 5 amp power supply and separate DC common for all of my +24 control voltage circuits in machinery. Once I get close to 5 amps I rack another. It also makes troubleshooting and repairs much easier to find and fix. It us not standard practice to fuse inputs. Only outputs.

On the other hand...2) Everything was done to avoid any source of heat near the wood of the roof. No electrical plug, no welding were allowed. So, Philippe Villeneuve says : “The hot spot hypothesis is therefore not the right one”.

Folks, I hate to scare you but there had to be at least 10 persons tasked with fire watch 24/7 on that structure. Anytime welding, grinding, cutting, type work is done, a dedicated location specific fire watch presence is required by code/law. Also all temporary circuits are required to be to code / law. I know. I do this stuff every day.

Short-circuit? On 875 year old oak? Nonsense. Would have had to smolder for hours or even days, and smoke would have alerted people.
