The famed Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France was engulfed in flames on Monday leading to the collapse of the structure's main spire. The intense flames leaped out from two of its bell towers minutes before the spire collapsed, and later spread to one of the cathedral's iconic rectangular towers.

After 9/11 survivors and onlookers/residents of NYC and especially first responder survivors... got ill from the smoke.

There is a boat load of lead in the ceiling and the stained glass of the Notre Dame. Lead and intense fire is bad news. I have used a mask when melting lead for a keel because the smoke is toxic. Lead in higher urban airborne percentages -from car exhausts before unleaded fuel was marketed- can cause loss of intellect (over long term) which is why my schooling next to a 1970s major traffic route was a small tragedy.

Today in Paris just before Easter... are we in a pre-war era here?

Why do the not allow speculation that it is muslims but they openly speculate it was old paint?

Be on the lookout for this suspect. May be hoofed and dangerous.

This kind of fire can only happen when there is a lot of accelerant. This was arson. Bank on that. And how many of the people working on the renovations were Muslims. More than none would be too many.

Once the French Fire Department Investigators establish that accelerants were used, that determines "the how." Then it'll be on to "the who."

Who did this?

Who used the accelerants?

Whose stupid idea was it to hire Muslims to work on the renovation?

>> I've heard numerous FReepers say flat out that Catholics aren't Christians. <<

>> It may seem like they are numerous because they post the same old BS so often but there really are only six five of them. <<

A lot of them will flat out say it, and then either go run and hide, or backtrack and make exceptions when you call them out on their bigoted BS. For example I've had exchanges like this:

Protestant FReeper: The thing is, a lot of us define a Christian as someone who has received the Word and made a public profession that he has been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. If you've never done that, then you are not a Christian. It's that simple.

Me: Well, last time I check, Antonin Scalia was a pretty devout guy his entire life, but I don't recall any exact moment he 'made a public profession that he has been saved', so Justice Scalia was a non-Christian, right?

Protestant FReeper: I didn't say that! Scalia shows fruits of his salvation! The holy spirit lived within him! blah blah blah...

This is going to be the French version of a TWA flight 800 investigation/cover up.

I’m sure they will blame it on a center fuel tank explosion.

When it comes down to it

most Christians agree on

the basic tenets of His

One True Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and

the only thing six five pals can agree on is

that they aren't Catholic and

even then they can bitterly disagree on

HOW they aren't Catholic.

It's funny and sad at the same time but still

their Father in heaven is longing for them to

return to Him,

with contrite hearts so

He can get this party started.

From 2017:

”So what is the attitude to Notre Dame? Though the French state is its owner, it will not spend the money for necessary repairs. The local archbishop does not believe that he can raise the funds to keep this astounding testament to French history and genius locally, from the descendants of those who built it.”

https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/09/paris-notre-dame-cathedral-funding-problems/

Let’s see who gets/doesn’t get blamed.

The French fire investigators have already ruled out arson.

Having never set foot in the still burning portions of the cathedral.

The fix is in.

Oh, man, the delusion is strong in you. The recent "Abuse Summit" was the biggest flop ever - as reported by, say "The Remnant", "Church Militant", even "ETWN".

I used to be Catholic, and I got sick and tired of seeing every single level of so called "leadership" cover up, lie, willfully ignore, defame, shift blame, etc. all the usual problems. And this same "church" requires you to deal with that leadership for many of their sacraments. They claim that they are the only ones with the "official franchise" from the big JC himself, no matter the clouds of sulfurous stench bellowing out of their "church".

I'll never go back, and work overtime to lead anyone I can out of it.
