As Trump soars higher, Dems reach their lowest point yet

Predicting what history will decide was significant is always dicey. But in the context of our fractured nation and the nonstop Washington tumult since 2016, events in the last three weeks have been nothing short of ­remarkable.

Against an enormous army of antagonists, political and cultural, academic and judicial, Donald Trump is enjoying some of the best days of his presidency. His power and popularity are expanding.

Meanwhile, Democrats and the left, including the media, have suffered one crushing blow after another. Their recent confidence that Trump was not long for the Oval Office is suddenly morphing into a panic that he could win a second term.

The worm began turning on the ­afternoon of Sunday, March 24, when Attorney General William Barr released his letter summarizing the findings of special counsel Robert Mueller. There was no collusion with Russia, Mueller found, and no obstruction of justice, Barr determined.

The momentous victory for Trump vindicated his claims of innocence. The fog of accusations that he was an illegitimate president was destroyed by a news flash that left no room for ambiguity.

but Trump’s positives (the economy, military success, foreign relations) keep improving, while his negatives (the Russian collusion, sexual accusations, bad Cabinet choices) are disappearing ...

Add in the growing spying scandal - which will keep them on the defensive - and Democrats will find it hard to come up with a valid reason for the American Public to change Presidents next year.

I agree...but, thus far Trump has been extremely active in positive actions and programs. But...Trump does have a very effective ally in the Democrat Party and its leadership.

Let’s be honest, Democrat, Speaker of he House, Nancy Pelosi, is a total failure and “ZERO” to boot. Chuck Schumer is the ditto in the Senate...totally useless. the Democrat Party is politically dying, the dying caused only by multiple self-inflicted wounds by the Democrats, themselves. Of course the Democrat, zero talented POTUS candidate roster helps and the “hate America Muslim bastions of AOC nutcases, are hastening the destruction of the Democrat Party.

Still, like you accurately point out, Trump needs to stay on top of his game 100%...which I am certain he will continue to do. My assessment...The Democrat Party is playing “Checkers” the Trumpies are playing “Chess”.

Note that "apprehensions" doesn't mean blocked entry, or expelled. Most of the "apprehensions" are processed and released into America, never to be seen again by authorities. When you understand that, the chart is a dismal sign of failure.

I'd like to see a chart on how many people we deport each month. Funny how we never see those numbers …
