It was somewhere around the 100th response that my brain turned to mush.
Last week, I devoted an installment of my newsletter Welcome to Hell World to a dozen stories from people who, like me, had close relationships that had been strained or ruined by family members who’d become obsessed with Fox News.
No matter where the stories came from they all featured a few familiar beats: A loved one seemed to have changed over time. Maybe that person was already somewhat conservative to start. Maybe they were apolitical. But at one point or another, they sat down in front of Fox News, found some kind of deep, addictive comfort in the anger and paranoia, and became a different person — someone difficult, if not impossible, to spend time with. The fallout led to failed marriages and estranged parental relationships. For at least one person, it marks the final memory he’ll ever have of his father: “When I found my dad dead in his armchair, fucking Fox News was on the TV,” this reader told me. “It’s likely the last thing he saw. I hate what that channel and conservative talk radio did to my funny, compassionate dad. He spent the last years of his life increasingly angry, bigoted, and paranoid.”News.

If the author of that piece was my son, I’d be angry and paranoid too. I’d be worried about him defiling my food - or worse.

What I’m learning from this article:
Conservatives debrief loved ones exposed to liberal ideas; liberals decontaminate loved ones exposed to conservative ideas.
They would still have health care, but they just wouldn't be effectively stealing it from millions of middle class workers.

That is a second- or third-hand anecdote. It’s the son’s view and the writer’s. I wouldn’t necessarily assume that it accurately reflects the parents’ situation. The father and mother probably understand their situation better than anybody else and don’t need somebody piling a third- or fourth-hand condemnation on them.
And which side owns the domestic very violent terrorist organization of ANTIFA?
Most democrats at least tacitly support ANTIFA and more than they want to admit strongly support these terrorists and the violence they carry out.

I disagree with leftists in virtually everyway. True leftists, not necessarily those useful idiots that just blindly follow, are horrible people.

This guy reminds me of Haman... from the Bible book of Esther:
Leftists and media (but I repeat myself)... should take a chance and read the Book of Esther. Haman, the kings viceroy planned the first known Holocaust. Haman stood at the palace gates and 99% of those passing bow to him in supplication... save one little Jewish guy, Mordecai (who bows only to God). One would think 99% control of anything would satisfy anyone... but that don’t work in tyrant “math” and Haman goes into a rage! In his anger, he plots to destroy not just Mordecai, but ALL his people with him (that would include Queen Esther... yep, Jew).
One wonders... how is Haman different than modern (misnamed) “Progressives”? 99% of media, entertainment and academia are controlled by them... yet it’s NOT ENOUGH! So like Haman, they stay in constant rage, as they plot to destroy the offending few who oppose.
Read the Book of Esther for further details... spoiler alert, it doesn’t end well for Haman. You can say what you want about the inspiration of the Bible writers... but they sure understood human nature and psychology!
