“Spying on a political campaign is a big deal,” Attorney General William Barr told a Senate committee on Wednesday morning. Barr’s comments came in the context of potential Justice Department reviews of the Trump-Russia investigation and how it began in 2016.
While it is important that the top law enforcement in the United States publicly acknowledged that the Obama administration and its intelligence agencies surveilled its domestic political opponents during the heat of a presidential election, it is what he said next that was most startling: that the CIA and other federal agencies in addition to the FBI may have been involved. “I’m not talking about the FBI necessarily, but intelligence agencies more broadly,” he said.

They do know, and they don’t care. It was not a military coup, it was bloodless. They hate Trump. They really don’t care about things like distant intellectual concepts ‘rule of law’, constitutional integrity, or legitimate will of the voters, when they are seething with hatred and fear. Middle aged suburban moms who watch the view who think their daughter’s uterus is getting ran but grump old white men are fully on board with ends justifying the means. I’m serious too

Federal agencies spying on a political candidate for president - Obama and Hillary were aware of this - many people need severe jail time.

We really haven’t. It’s just that when many agencies and/or actors within many different agencies can cause that agency to wield its power a certain way, you’ve got a problem.
Across all the agencies combined, you get many 80-90% of the “power” in Washington. And when 1/2 of the politicians silently support or actively assist in the scam, then it’s very easy to do.
a piece of this justified investigation could be played is “persecution of political opponents by that dictator Trump” - so having the real meat and potatoes of this come out after a 2020 re-election dispels that narrative.
2020 election will be about Illegal Immigration are you for Americans or are you not.
I know from my work ringing doorbells regular Americans have fumed about illegal migration and the social costs for years sand no one would listen till Trump came on the scene. This also gives reason to energize the GOP along with centrists minus the defeated in 2018 never-Trumpers to take back the House and keep the Senate and fulfill the Build The Wall promise. Illegal immigration rule of Law (Jussie Smolet reverb) are winning issues.
Homeland tv show had a convoluted plot by intelligence to take down the female POTUS. She ended up resigning for the good of the country
I am not sure what their agenda was in that show. I think they thought Hillary was going to be President and then they switched gears to the POTUS being under attack including an assassination attempt by Intelligence and military trying a coup.
