Marine Corps Base Quantico (commonly abbreviated MCB Quantico) is a United States Marine Corps installation located near Triangle, Virginia, covering nearly 55,148 acres of southern Prince William County, Virginia, northern Stafford County, and southeastern Fauquier County. Used primarily for training purposes, MCB Quantico is known as the "Crossroads of the Marine Corps".

The U.S. Marine Corps' Combat Development Command, which develops strategies for U.S. Marine combat and makes up most of the community of over 12,000 military and civilian personnel (including families), is based here.

It has a budget of around $300 million and is the home of the Marine Corps Officer Candidates School. The Marine Corps Research Center at Quantico pursues equipment research and development, especially telecommunications, for the Marine Corps.

The FBI Academy, the principal research and training facility of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the principal training facility for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) are also located on the base.

The base celebrated its centennial in 2017. In May 2017, Quantico was occupied by Marines for 100 years. The base has changed much since the days John A. Lejeune or Smedley Butler led it, but it still strives to succeed and continues to grow in order to serve the needs of the 21st Century Marine Corps.

Good evening, radu….as soon as I turned into my neighborhood this evening everything was wet and there were puddles....rain! We need a good drenching.

Did you have a nice day?

Tonight’s homework finished, a few minutes for news, and bed.

Howdy, Kathy.

It sounds like we both got rain today. We got more than we needed and there were rivers running all over the farm. That’s the kind of rain you need to clean things up around there.
It was storming all around when I went to bed this morning and one of the storms set off a tornado warning. Not here this time, thank goodness, but just south of us. Not much in the way of details on the news this evening other than some trees down.

I got the last of the ancient Avon cleared out of one of the upstairs bedrooms in Clara’s house tonight, I THINK. The closet is the next thing to tackle and there might be more hidden in there. But I came back in here with a feeling of success and that made it a good day. LOL

I hope this week isn’t too crazy for you. You need a break!
I’m taking the fact you finished tonight’s homework early as a good sign. :-)

Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))

Hope it’s as pretty there as it is here. The only down side is that it’s supposed to get up to 94 today, which is a bit too warm for my taste. The grass is greening up and flowers are blooming, though, so I guess it’s a good trade off. LOL

Hope you and Gizmo have a fun day at the lake and that he finds something under his favorite stump. :)

I mean...94°??
That's just way too hot for early April! Right?
I'd love some rain!
Hope all y'all have a Terrific Tuesday!
I keep reading of a "Bomb Cyclone" in the midwest.
That sounds hugh and series!
Anyhooooo....stay warm...or cool, whatever. LOL!
((((hugs))))
