President Trump moved to replace the top ranks of the Department of Homeland Security on Monday, a day after forcing the resignation of its secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen, as he accelerated a purge of the nation’s immigration and security leadership.
The White House announced the departure of Randolph D. Alles, the director of the Secret Service, who had fallen out of favor with the president even before a security breach at his Mar-a-Lago club that the agency effectively blamed on Mr. Trump’s employees.
Government officials, who asked not to be identified discussing personnel changes before they were announced, said at least two more top department figures were expected to leave soon as well: L. Francis Cissna, the head of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and John Mitnick, the department’s general counsel and a senior member of Ms. Nielsen’s leadership team.

True, and in all agencies there are thousands of SES that Obama put in during his final months, and thousands of career workers that don’t follow orders they don’t agree with.

NYT writer Maggie Haberman is more often wrong, than right, so take that for what you will. She’s definitely NOT a WH insider or favorite.
With John Kelly’s pick, Kirstjen Nielsen, gone as of yesterday, it only follows that President Trump will make additional changes in leadership and managerial offices which are hardly “purges.”
Drain the swamp!
And it will be in spite of DHS and the Bushes.

We have zero security, and it provides zero security.
Granted, I’m a suspicious person, but I think this goes well beyond what may or may not have happened at Mar-a-Lago.

It’s pretty simple, Trump comes from the business world, more specifically real estate development. There if you don’t get results you are replaced. In politics if you don’t get results you get more money.
To be fair to her, she is a cyber-security expert who worked for Gen. Kelly. She was probably very good at it then got promoted to a job she wasn’t cut out for and vilified as a Nazi. I sort of feel sorry for her.

Trumps Chief of staff said there was going to be a shakeup at the DHS 3 months ago.....and the Secret Service agents were celebrating today.....sentiment at the agency is “good riddance,”’ to the head director Alles getting fired......
DHS was created and the people applauded after 9-11. Before 9-11 the people would have never agreed, unconstitutional. Food for thought

All things in their time and the end of Mueller’s witch hunt seems to have triggered some new action...haven’t been a big Q fan but have believed the “Trust the plan” meme it espouses.
