Democrats are trying to put the last nail in the coffin of the Budget Control Act of 2011, one of the few remaining semblances of fiscal restraint left in Washington.
This week, the House likely will vote on a plan to raise the laws discretionary spending caps by at least $357 billion for 2020-2021. As has far too often become the case in Congress, none of the proposed new funding will be paid for with cuts to other programs.
The country is over $22 trillion in debt. It is past time for Congress to get serious about spending reforms and prioritizing precious taxpayer dollars.
Democrats plan to raise the caps imposed by the Budget Control Act is the latest in a series of attempts to divert more money to programs and activities that the federal government shouldnt be involved in. In the process, it would burden Americans with even more deficit spending.

There!
Fixed it.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"The Holy Grail of organized crime is to control government power to tax." me
"The constitutionally undefined political parties are basically competing, corrupt voter unions, union dues paid by means of unconstitutional federal taxes. me
"The smart crooks long ago figured out that getting themselves elected to federal office to make unconstitutional tax laws to fill their pockets is a much easier way to make a living than robbing banks." me
"Federal career lawmakers probably laugh all the way to the bank to deposit bribes for putting loopholes for the rich and corporations in tax appropriations laws, Congress actually not having the express constitutional authority to make most appropriations laws where domestic policy is concerned. Such laws are based on stolen state powers and uniquely associated stolen state revenues." me

MAGA!
If I vote Republican, will it fix the problem?
Not only is no one in Congress willing to cut spending, they arent even willing to cut the rate spending is increasing. In fact the new economic theory in vogue among the left is that there is no downside to spending trillions of dollars in imaginary money every year.
That reminds me, noting that one of the very few constitutional powers that the states have expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds to decide domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service (1.8.7), most federal domestic policy based on stolen state powers, please consider the following.
When the states wake up and repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments, they need a provision in the repeal amendment that prohibits political party support of federal representatives.
After all, how many political parties does it take to run the mail service?
I say none. No political parties needed.
The states will remain free to shoot both feet off with political parties.
To answer your question, patriots need to primary as many career Republicans as we can in 2020 elections, and hope that freshman Republicans not only support PDJT, but also read FRee Republic.
Budget, We don’t need no stinking budget.
We created the Federal Reserve cartel precisely so we could spend whatever we want, whenever we want.

The Dem reckless in morality and finances....Seen drunken sailors who can’t spend like Dems...
“If I vote Republican, will it fix the problem?”
Not based on the results under the last 3 GOP Speakers - Hastert, Boehner, and Ryan. No failed programs cancelled, no attempt at zero based budgeting, no prioritization of spending, no end to baseline budgeting with built in inflation. The tax code continued to become even more complicated with special provisions for favored industries, companies, and even individuals. Plus with the House and Senate under GOP leadership we continued to begin the new budget year with last minute omnibus spending bills and the drama of government shutdown. Neither GOP or Democrat lawmakers have any desire to be fiscally responsible.
