Three days before landing attempt on April 11 in the Sea of Serenity, Israeli vessel executes move to tighten its orbit

After entering lunar orbit last week, Israeli spacecraft Beresheet on Monday morning successfully performed another maneuver as it entered ever-tighter orbits around the moon, before attempting to land on April 11 in the Sea of Serenity.
The maneuver reduced the maximum distance of the spacecrafts elliptical path around the moon from 750 kilometers (466 miles) to 467 kilometers (290 miles). Its current minimum distance is just 210 kilometers (130 miles).
On Sunday, Beresheet successfully performed the first in the series of maneuvers and all of its engines were turned on for 271 seconds, burning 55 kilograms (120 pounds) of the fuel it has left.
In the three days remaining until the landing attempt, engineers will perform further maneuvers to turn Beresheets current elliptic orbit into a circular orbit 200 kilometers (125 miles) from the face of the moon.

Beresheet’s out of the woods?.....................
Beresheet ping.
Just being in orbit around the Moon and sending back pictures is a big accomplishment.
How long before the Palestinians claim it was always their land on the Moon and start firing missiles at it?
Is that a photo of the dark side of the moon?
Since April 4th, Beresheet has been orbiting the earth along with the Moon.
The Moon - the symbol of Israel, King David, Rachel, and the Shekhinah (the Divine Presence, the face of God).
That means that little Beresheet is due to arrive on the 8th day [from its "giant leap"].
The "Apollo Effect": one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
Beresheet is only expected to "live" (last) a couple of days, due to the extremes of temperature. People thought something similar about a certain menorah. Or of a certain king who was only supposed to live a few hours.
It's getting there.
Just be glad Mohamed wasn’t able to go there. It would forever be an Islamic holy place if that had happened.
Looks dark. :)
The caption source struck me as funny, considering the origin of the name:

God bless little Beresheet. I so much love following along with this inspiring journey.
The Palestinians have already tried to launch missiles at it, but for some reason they just keep landing in Israel.
Israel is the same size and population of New Jersey but
without the water.
That was really funny, man. Thanks for the laugh.
Does this mean the Man in the Moon is gonna get circumcised?
Quick, sent that tip to SPACEIL.
Only three Mighty superpowers have landed an aircraft on the moon. God is sending a message to us all..... don’t mess with the Jews, they are not 98-pound weaklings anymore!
Making the 50 year old 1969 manned lunar mission, landing and return by the U.S., an unimaginable feat and arguably the biggest technological accomplishment ever achieved by man.
