As outgoing Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen looks for her next job following her resignation Sunday, she may find herself battling a liberal blacklisting effort against those who've served in the Trump administration.
Nielsen's name appears on a list that a cabal of immigration and civil rights groups recently sent to the CEOs of American companies, urging them not to hire Trump officials who were involved in last year's separation of migrant children from their families.
Other current and former Trump administration officials targeted include John Kelly, the former White House chief of staff, and Sarah Sanders, the current White House press secretary.
"Some of these individuals have left the administration in recent months," the letter to the CEOs states. "Regardless of when they leave, they should not be allowed to seek refuge in your boardrooms or corner offices. Allowing them to step off the revolving door and into your welcoming arms should be a nonstarter."

'Ratz!
I have been disinclined to argue that we are in the incipient stage of a civil war. I no longer feel that way.
FWIW, some conservatives argue that what private companies do is their business. These blacklists are where that thought eventually leads, but it’s supported by some nevertheless.
Too bad so many CEOs of major concerns are cowards.
What this group is attempting to make these companies do is wrong. But if a company decides to go along just how would you have them compelled to do otherwise?
Isn’t that slander? Or maybe libel...?
Dishonest at best. It is Democrats who have created these laws and staunchly refuse to repair the injustices they have created. These are the ones who need to be blacklisted.
What would I do? Absolutely nothing, in fact I support a blacklist for all Republicans. And that’s where this is going. IMO until decent folks feel pain nothing will change.
Her and Stormy could team up. It be a hell of an act.
The New Fascism.
Now in Green.
Blacklists can cut both ways.
And some people think we are not already at war...
Yes and we've had some magnificent victories; the cinema, newspapers, magazines, the NFL kneelers, and TV. It's a shame we don't tout it loudly.
I would love to see such groups taken to court for the very real harm they are trying to inflict. It would also be fine with me if stockholders of these companies made clear that yielding to threats from pressure groups of any kind regarding hiring decisions is unacceptable.
Hate your neighbor.
