According to actuarial tables maintained by the Social Security Administration, the life expectancy of a 70 year-old man is 14.30 years -- enough time to serve two terms and move on to physical decline. The life expectancy of a 78 year-old man is 9.33 years -- enough to last two terms and not a lot more. The life expectancy of a 79 year-old man is 8.77 years -- barely enough to make it out of the White House.
Of course, each man might live to 100. None of us knows. But given their age, the issue is more than just whether each candidate might be a voice from the past, or out of touch with the today's concerns. The issue is whether they are simply too old to handle the rigors of the presidency.

Donaldson said later that his heart sank when he saw Reagan’s expression when he heard the question, perceiving that Reagan had an answer ready for it.Watching the debate in real time, I saw that Reagan’s riposte was so obviously funny that it put Mondale in a bind. He would look bad if he didn’t laugh at it - and at the same time, he really had nothing else going for him besides Reagan’s age. His campaign was in trouble if he didn’t laugh, but his campaign was finished if he did allow himself to laugh at it. He smiled - and he lost.

But you have to realize that if the Dems do NOT nominate a white man, and they choose 2020 to unleash the Kraken, they will collapse before the GOP does.
I’d like to see every person in Congress take the same yearly Physical as the President does and his/her med list revealed. Don’t forget they get their drugs hand delivered to their Offices from a Private Pharmacy. We have NO idea what their health issues are as they keep that very private. Would you trust a Congresscritter with Altzhimers or Dementia to be a competent legislator? If elected, VP Clinton would be President in no time. Hitlery would have her bumped off very quickly.
