That does sound like it would be fun. You get to see scenery you can’t see from the highways and some little towns are pretty neat.
A pox on them for making you do the work from home. Bunch o’ party poopers!

Howdy, LUV.

Hope your day was good. Did you manage to get a decent night’s sleep?

It was another coolish day here but dry. They keep saying we’ll hit 80 tomorrow and Sunday but I’ll believe it when I feel it.

I had attempted to sell the idea as “the missionary journeys of St. Publius of Scottsdale,” but they wouldn’t bite.

Hey, there! I was just sure you’d be digging through Clara’s junk tonight. LOL! Coolish doesn’t sound that bad right now. It’s still pretty warm here. We got a teensy bit of rain. Not enough to even measure. *sigh*

I hope you do get a bit of 80s temps. You will really be a happy camper if you do!

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

HAROLD ARLEN

COTTON CLUB PARADE OF 1934: “AS LONG AS I LIVE”

This 1955 version shows why the Fifties was such a fine decade for jazz.

Anita O’Day: “As Long as I Live”

The national organization doesn’t have that much money to throw around.

I’m getting ready to head to Clara’s very shortly. Had to let supper settle first ..... ate too much. LOL

It wasn’t uncomfortably cool, just cooler that they’d predicted. I’d have cracked some windows open if not for the pollen. The trees are REALLY putting it out this year, I reckon because we had all that rain in Feb. They’re happy!
We’re aren’t so happy.

I can handle that funky Avon better than I can handle the pollen right now. It’s that bad. LOL

Bummer you didn’t get much rain. With all the systems coming through this next week, maybe you’ll get a good hit yet.

That’s true. And they’re going to need to use all they can get their hands on to cover the cost of all this.

Day by day is all I can do.

Oh, my goodness! The pollen MUST be bad if the Avon is a better choice. LOL! One spring we went south of here to see the bluebonnets in bloom, and by the time we left the people’s house we were staying with, our dark red car was yellow with bluebonnet pollen. LOL! So I get what you’re saying. *aaaaah-CHOO!*

I’m glad you’re dried out for a while. It’ll be nice to get to walk across your yard without it feeling like a wet sponge.

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

HAROLD ARLEN

COTTON CLUB PARADE OF 1934: “AS LONG AS I LIVE”

Ella offers perfection with her diction and vocal chops. She receives able backing from Billy May in this 1961 classic.

It doesn’t take long to lose muscle when you’re laid up, and you were laid up for quite a while.
At least you’re able to get in a little hands-on time each day. The hard part is being patient while you build up your steam but it’ll happen.

Your trigger finger’s obviously back in shape again. :-)
