MEXICO CITY (AP) The Mexican government said Tuesday there are significant slowdowns at U.S. border crossings, particularly at three of the eight between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, Texas. The slowdowns have been caused by a U.S. decision to re-assign some 2,000 border officers who normally check vehicles at border crossings to deal with growing crowds of migrants. But the slowdowns caused huge backups of trucks and cars, threatening to strangle the movement of goods and people. "If we don't get this back to normal very soon, it is going to have an economic cost for both countries," warned Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard. The city government of Ciudad Juarez said so many trucks were backed up at border freight crossing there that they began to crowd some of the city's main boulevards, "causing losses for shopkeepers and creating traffic problems."

it is going to have an economic cost for both countries,...
More for you.
It’s time to go to the mattresses.
See who surrenders first.
Dear Mexico - get used to it, we’re going to be processing your stuff even slower in future. Maybe even not process it at all and not let it in. Maybe you should think about enforcing your southern border if you have a problem with that.
Shut it down, Mr. President. Let the traffic back up clear to the southern border of Mexico.
The Mexicans will fold in less than 24 hours.
And when you do reopen it order that every single commercial vehicle is hand searched down to the smallest carton. If any contraband is found confiscate the entire shipment and the vehicle. Arrest the driver or crew.

Mexicans have to get into the US for their Free Healthcare , Food Stamps and Welfare checks ,D’oh
And there’s no economic impact of illegal immigration. /s
Maybe you should stop escorting criminals from your southern border to your northern border to dump them on us, Pablo?
Just a thought.
“If we don’t get this back to normal very soon, it is going to have an economic cost for both countries,” warned Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard
Let me unpack this for you
Your economy $1.7 trillion and 140 million people.
My peeps, 300 million of us of the U.S. produce $18.5 trillion GDP
Whose economy is hurt more by this?
Your move....
From this American to the Mexican government: Boo hoo!!! If you want smoother border crossings for commerce between our two countries, GET CONTROL OF THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS POURING ACROSS YOURS INTO OURS.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF U
Mexico is letting the invasion columns pass unimpeded.
Shut it down....I have absolutely had enough of Messico and Latin America.
Let them starve in their socialism.
Well, actually, it's not .. we've been pussies about this for long enough that the bastards think they're immune to retaliation.
Paging General Zachary Taylor .. please pick up the white courtesy phone . . .
“’If we don’t get this back to normal very soon, it is going to have an economic cost for both countries,’ warned Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard.”
You stand to lose far more than we do, Marcelo, so if you want the border back to normal tell that Commie presidente of yours to stop the illegals from reaching the border.
How long does it take for stuff to rot on the trucks? Couple days?
If they don’t like today’s speed, they will really hate the next speed.
Shut down private vehicle traffic north to reduce congestion, the all traffic if that doesnt work.
Well Mexico, convince your ruling cartels that stopping the flow of illegals headed to the U.S, through your country, needs to stop.
Mexico’s farmers won’t be happy. Veggies can’t wait.
