One of the jurors who helped convict Chanel Lewis of murder for slaying Queens jogger Karina Vetrano said Monday night that he wasn’t sure the man was guilty and felt pressured to convict him.
“He seems like such a good kid. Did he really do this?” the juror, a white male in his 30s, said outside court Monday night about Lewis.
“I kept thinking ‘How tall is Karina? How tall is Chanel?’ She looked pretty buff me to.”

In the 60’s we had this kind of BS but mostly with college students only, now that college seems to be REQUIRED ALL young people seem to be brainwashed, don’t seem to be able to make a decision or think for themselves!!!

I’ve always said the before a man is allowed into a college he should be required to work in construction for a year.

I put myself through college in the '70s working early morning shifts at a warehouse and construction in the summers....no student loans. Work hard, save your money and you appreciate that degree which makes you marketable after finishing.

If the juror didn’t believe in the defendant’s guilt, why the hell did he vote guilty? The defendant could have been retried. People are so damn dumb and they want approval so badly. What became of integrity? So terrifying to think that someone could be convicted based on such a stupid reason.

Jury deliberated 5 hours. Now appealing because jury held more than 12 hours! The horror. Judge gave jurors case around 4pm I think. Later they asked to see confession again , went to dinner. Then found guilty. They didnt need to see it again.

Brain dead people should not be allowed to serve on juries.
The reason I will demand a Judge if I'm innocent and a jury if I'm guilty.
I have done my civic duty several times on a jury and some level of pressure does occur.
I was on a drunk driving case where the evidence showed that the guy was guilty. One of the jurors, however, stated from the very beginning of deliberations that all cops lie and we all had to find the guy not guilty. I could also see that it was going to be a us against him battle and he was not going to give in.
I had not made my position known at that time, so I decided to agree with him and take his side. Over the next few hours I allowed myself to have my not guilty position reversed but only taking into account the non-cop evidence. At every stage along the way I got the guy to agree with my small change in position. By the end we were able to “change” my mind and his to get a conviction. ;o)
I didn’t even think about that angle.

I’ve been on juries with people like that. Almost everyone on the panel totally ignores them. And when it comes time for a vote the other jurors spell everything out for them. They are incapable of making a reasoned decision.
I was on one where a teacher, yeah a lib, wanted part of testimony read back to her. I actually told her....no, don’t waste our time. You should’ve been awake for it. I had looked over at her and she was sleeping.
I have no patience for idiots.
Having been in construction for most of my life, I can tell you many I worked with wasted their time and money on college only to end up working next to me.
