A new bloc is emerging in the greater Middle East with the declared objectives of dominating the entire Arab world, confronting and containing the US and its allies; and controlling and benefiting from the entire hydro-carbon economy, from production to transportation.
The leading members of the new bloc are Turkey, Iran, and Qatar; with Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan submitting to the new bloc.
Russian experts call the new bloc the Middle Eastern Entente.
The key to the success of the bloc is the emerging correlation of influence of the great powers in the af-termath of the wars in Syria and Iraq. Russia and the Peoples Republic of China are ready to compromise with the regional powers in order to secure their vital and global interests, while the US, Saudi Arabia and, to a lesser extent, Israel, are the nemeses of the bloc.
The roots of the Middle Eastern Entente are in Doha. Qatar in Summer 2017 initiated a myriad of bilat-eral and trilateral discussions with Iran and Turkey after Saudi Arabia and the GCC allies imposed the siege on Qatar in June of that year. However, it was not until the second half of 2018, with the initial impact of the siege largely ameliorated, that the long-term post-war posture of the greater Middle East became a major priority.

So in other words a group that it would take 45 minutes to destroy their combined air forces and navies
They are going to contain the US.
If Putin wants to keep backing syria and others up, that’s his choice.
But if any of them becomes a threat to us screw him
Atrocious where US policies have led up to this point. So many knots to undo. But America is with Israel and that is what matters most.
Don’t forget stupid UK policy is in the mix.
It will be interesting to see how the “new caliphate”, based in Turkey and the “new caliphate” based in Iran determine which of them is the one TRUE “caliphate”.
Qatar is not even an “also-ran”, but it may be the first casualty of the coming war.
Will be interesting to see how well Turkey and Iran coalesce.
Yep
We don’t need your stinkin oil anymore! In fact we are stealing your customers.
SUCKS to be you. You can all wipe each others A$$ES with your hands then eat dinner with your fingers while sitting on your bedding.
Filthy barbarians. Who needs you?
Not too sure the knots can be undone. More likely more wars breaking out, eventually involving Israel. War against Israel may be the one thing that unifies such an alliance.
Jordan!!
I doubt.
I would too, but we’re not as tight with Jordan as we once were. Things are changing.
[ War against Israel may be the one thing that unifies such an alliance ]
Ezekiel 38. Iran, Turkey, Russia and Libya against Israel. Probably the Sudan, too (not south Sudan I’m thinking).
Keep an eye on Libya. IMHO they’ll move closer to at least one (or more) of these players - Iran, Turkey and Russia.
Saudi Arabia protests these attacks (at least verbally) when they come. Sheba and Dedan.
It is an inevitable alignment.
Is this ‘plan B’ to create ‘the caliphate’? (Since Obama/HilLIARy’s ‘Arab Spring’ failed, and created ISIS)
And is Turkey leaving NATO to join this group?
On paper, Turkey is still listed as a NATO country, but not so much in reality. Turkey is buying arms from Russia, and Congress is balking at providing them with the F-35. Not something you do to an ally, restrict their armament purchases from your manufactures.
They’ll have to stop chopping each other up. Unlikely. Mideast potentates don’t cooperate beyond what they think they can use such cooperation to dominate the others. Mutually beneficial action is not in their DNA.
Hello Fat Man.
The modern equivalent looks nothing like that.
And the yield is ahhhh, larger. (understatement)
Turkey can’t simultaneously be in such a bloc and be in NATO at the same time, of course.
