From the life imitates art imitates life imitates art ad nauseam file, I thought this headline was satire, but noooo: Jussie Smollett is nominated for an NAACP Award. Of course, Smollett just walked free on 16 felony counts after his hoax hate crime in January.
If you ever needed evidence that the NAACP is a race-bait organization run by hoax and scam hustlers, this would be it.
Six-time host of Saturdays festivities, Black-ish star Anthony Anderson, said, I hope he wins. Im happy for him that the system worked in his favor because the system isnt always fair, especially for people of color. So Im glad it worked out for him.
Lets hope Smollett wins and Jesse Jackson and fellow hate-hoaxer Al Sharpton handle the presentation. If he wins, perhaps he can use the award money to help pay off $130,106 bill he just received from the city of Chicago to pay for all the police overtime to solve his hoax.
The first coat of “whitewash”, if you’ll pardon the expression.
Its too bad the republicans, like pet rocks, never do anything. This would have been a good opportunity to make it a federal crime to fake a hate crime.
NAACP is rewarding Arrogant liars as their top picks now? Wow- Doesn’t speak well for the NAACP
of course he’ll get it. nothing to do with merit, nor those who get bumped so they can parade him before the country as an innocent victim
Proves that the NAACP is a fraud that exists solely to blame the failures of its members on Whitey, thus exonerating the members from the need to do anything to improve themselves.
Making money off slavery years after it was abolished: the NAACP.
Yeah the leftards, especially the black racist hate whitey ones, will probably do everything they can to rehabilitate his image.
BTW I'm surprised when Rahm Emanuel used that term "whitewash" they didn't call him a racist. But then maybe because he's a dem he can get away with it.
I guess it makes that award as worthless as obama’s Nobel Peace Prize for doing absolutely nothing to earn it.
Hey, I’m all for giving encouragement when it’s due, but giving awards to racist black dudes is not how to do it.
CHICAGO Ever since he was a child actor growing up in a show-business family, Jussie Smolletts life blended activism with the make-believe worlds of television and movies. ..."
He spoke of his mothers closeness with the Black Panthers and prominent civil-rights leaders, and how she had encouraged Mr. Smollett and his brothers and sisters to create art and live out their beliefs. ..."
For Mr. Smollett, arts and activism were intertwined throughout his childhood.
His parents met while campaigning for civil rights in the Bay Area of California, and his mother had worked with the founders of the Black Panthers and prominent civil-rights leaders, according to a New York Times interview with Mr. Smollett in 2016.
Between child-acting gigs and press junkets that the six siblings did for their 1994 ABC sitcom, their mother, Janet Smollett, made sure the children played sports and read about figures like Malcolm X and Langston Hughes, she told The Los Angeles Times in 1994. (His family did not respond to phone or email messages.)
I know their mother, Janet, has always taught them to stand up for themselves, and for what they believe, Mr. Harris said.

The past three days have been deeply trying for Empire actor, Jussie Smollett, to say the least.
After being brutally attacked by racists early Tuesday (January 29, 2019) morning, an ongoing investigation has resulted in several discoveries, but still no suspects apprehended.
Now, Jussies five siblings and Moms have decided to address the violent attack, as well as what they plan on doing about it going forward.
FYI: Their Mom was an activist and a member of The Black Panther Party back in the day.
So neither she, nor her kids, will simply take this violent racist/homophobic attack against her baby lying down.

From the New York Times...
"Jussie and Jurnee still count their mother, Janet Smollett, as their only acting coach. An African-American from New Orleans, Ms. Smollett met their father, Joel Smollett Sr., a Russian-Polish Jew, in the Bay Area, where they campaigned for civil rights.
My mom was in the movement with Bobby Seale and Huey Newton, and one of her first mentors was Julian Bond, Mr. Smollett said of the Black Panther founders and the civil rights leader.
To this day, Angela Davis is one of her dearest friends. Weve spent Mothers Day with Angela...."

"In 1970 Davis was implicated by more than 20 witnesses in a plot to free her imprisoned lover, fellow Black Panther George Jackson, by hijacking a Marin County, California courtroom and taking hostage the judge, the prosecuting assistant district attorney, and two jurors.
In an ensuing gun battle outside the court building, Judge Harold Haleys head was blown off by a sawed-off shotgun owned by Ms. Davis.
To avoid arrest for her alleged complicity in the plot, Ms. Davis fled California, using aliases and changing her appearance to avoid detection.
Two months later, Davis was arrested by the FBI in New York City."

Below are the names and photos of 35 Police Officers who were murdered by the Black Panthers and the subsequent Black Liberation Army in the 60s, 70s and 80s [click link for list and details].
The Black Liberation Army was an organization that grew out of the Black Panther Party, composed of former Black Panther Party members, operating from about 1971-1980. Another two police officers on the list were murdered by the Weather Underground, a domestic terrorist group with ties to the Black Liberation Army.
Despite this readily available information, today the internet was full of articles criticizing those who were upset by Beyonces Super Bowl Halftime performance, and questioning how anyone could be upset over a woman affirming her blackness. Their analysis couldnt have been more off.
We have no issues with someone affirming their blackness or any other identity they want to affirm. We do take issue when people pay homage to a group that used terrorism and violence to promote racism and revolutionary socialism a group that murdered dozens of police officers in cold blood.
As you scroll through the list of officers below, look at their photos and read their stories. Among these officers are black men and white men. Rookies and veterans from across the country. Most were killed in unprovoked attacks and ambushes. They all left behind families .
Perhaps Beyonce, someone from the NFL, and someone representing CBS, could read through this list and tell us if they still stand by their decision to honor the Black Panthers during the Super Bowl. Then perhaps they could explain their answers to the surviving wives and children of these fallen officers. ...
if he wins they should change their name to the NAARH
National Association for the Advancement of Racial Hoaxsters.
"Huey", by the way, is one of the founders of the cop-killing, revolutionary communist, Black Panthers.
And "Angela", well, you know, read her bio above.

"Huey Percy Newton (February 17, 1942 August 22, 1989) was an African-American political activist and revolutionary who, along with Bobby Seale, co-founded the Black Panther Party in 1966. He continued to pursue an education, eventually earning a Ph.D. in social philosophy.[1][2] In 1989 he was shot and killed in Oakland, California. ..."
"As a student at Merritt College in Oakland, Newton became involved in politics in the Bay Area. He joined the Afro-American Association (AAA), became a prominent member of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, Beta Tau chapter; and played a role in getting the first African-American history course adopted as part of the college's curriculum.
He read the works of Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, Frantz Fanon, Malcolm X, Mao Zedong, Émile Durkheim, and Che Guevara.
During his time at Merritt College, he met Bobby Seale, and the two organized the Black Panther Party for Self Defense in October 1966.[3]"

From the Maoist Internationist Movement:
[1960s/original] Black Panther Party [BPP] Archives
From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROES
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey [Newton] rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [the police].
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

"During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP [The Revolutionary Communist Party] -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.
Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

"NEVER FORGET that Maxine Waters embraced Damien Williams, the infamous thug who hurled a chunk of concrete at truck driver Reginald Denny and performed a victory dance over this innocent mans battered body. Maxine Waters even visited Damien Williams mother to offer her support.
Williams was sent to prison on a single felony charge of mayhem, but when his accomplices got off, Waters joined in the celebration. Damien Williams was released a few years later and went on to [commit] murder... Also, no surprise, he was a member of the Crips."

Maxine Waters on the Los Angeles riots of 1992 (Rodney King riots):
"In defense of the people that looted stores and damaged property, [Maxine] Waters said 'If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.'[5]
She also said it was 'a spontaneous reaction to a lot of injustice' and 'The anger in my district is righteous. I'm just as angry as they are'. "

Next up - he’ll be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
More like, "if you're black, famous, and 'down' with the cop-killing, communist revolutionary movement, hell no. Get nominated for an award!"
OMG and the hits just keep on coming!! Is this the NAACPs award for absolutely beyond STUPID!!!
THIS is America!
Betcha the “attack” and the nomination are not unrelated. IMHO he knew he was going to be nominated and staged the hate crime to help his chances to win.
