First the Old Testament is but one portion of the Law, and must be informed by the Oral Law, especially in relation to such issues.
Second, these were ultimate and most extreme punishments possible, after in-numerous interventions, steps, and lesser punishments for 99.9999% of all cases.

When is this aspect of Sharia law coming to the US? Is there any instances already? Surely the practice of this peaceful Islamic cult is not different in the US.
Liberals are going to have to eventually decide if they are on the same side with Muslims or gays. Since both are currently above ***criticism***, something will have to change.
Would the Imams be amending and ramping up Sharia laws and punishment for homosexual acts if they didn’t have convincing evidence of the problem being endemic in their country? I doubt it. LGBTQ may be a much nastier problem for them, than it is for us in the West. It may be causing significant public health issues. Their populations are to say the least hygienically challenged considering the still widespread practice of hand-wiping their nether orifices. Seventh century minds and all that.

There might or might not be a significant uptick in this kind of thing in Brunei, and it’s further complicated by the fact that there are some kinds of same-sex erotic conduct that don’t count as homosexuality to Islam. That could go on there all day long and their vice squads would not care.
But I think they are detesting what they see as licentious Western conduct. Certainly it doesn’t look very Christian anymore. So they have a point that the West is now ill equipped to dispute.

The fact that Rahm Emmanuel walked off of the “Gays R Us” plantation in the Jussie affair could forebode push coming to shove and the crescent showing itself superior here. The only long term fix is found in Christianity in its classic “Hate the sin but not the sinner” posture.

Our lefty mediots are so pro Islam, they will never inform us when and where Sharia happened in America.
Will have to reserve judgement on this until Hollywood responds.
We can watch what happens in places like UK and Sweden to foreshadow what will happen here. It’s very disturbing to me how Muslims are allowed to sequester themselves in “no go zones” where they decide what part of our laws they want to obey (sort of like sanctuary cities, but worse). They didn’t seek permission to do this, they just did it and confronted any pushback as racism.
Gays should probably take machete lessons. This could get very bloody.
