Robert Mueller’s investigation is over, but questions still abound. Not about collusion, Russian interference or obstruction of justice, but about the leading lights of journalism who managed to get the story so wrong, and for so long.
It wasn’t merely an error here or there. America’s blue-chip journalists botched the entire story, from its birth during the presidential campaign to its final breath Sunday—and they never stopped congratulating themselves for it. Last year the New York Times and Washington Post shared a Pulitzer Prize “for deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration.” A 2017 Time magazine cover depicted the White House getting a “makeover” to transform it into the Kremlin.
All based on a theory—that the president of the United States was a Russian asset—produced by a retired foreign spy whose work was funded by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign. An unbiased observer would have taken the theory’s partisan provenance as a red flag, but most political journalists saw nothing but green lights. No unverified rumor was too salacious and no anonymous tip was too outlandish to print.

So much for accepting Robert Mueller’s conclusions and recommendations. If your objective is to bring down Mr. Trump, nothing Mr. Mueller or anyone else finds—or fails to find—makes a difference. Mr. Trump didn’t collude with Russia, but he did defeat Mrs. Clinton. From their behavior it is evident that many in the media view that as sufficient to establish his guilt. For them, the Trump-Russia investigation was never about protecting democracy or securing elections—never mind telling the truth, which is supposed to be their job.

They failed as journalists, but nearly succeeded as propagandists, which is what they are.
Rape is not “botched” sex.
Botched it? Really? No, the whores in the media didn’t botch anything. They knew full well the millions of articles they devoted this this hoax were all lies.
So what? They didn’t care. And do they care now that they were proven idiots and liars? Of course not.
Not a failure. Not botched.
Everything went according to plan.
They did not botch anything, they simply LIED and LIED and LIED. And are still LYING.
FAIL.
Our domestic enemies are now unsuccessfully trying to pitch an “incompetent” media ploy to us.
“Failure” implies an attempt to get it right, and not reaching that goal. But we all know that didn’t happen here.
Remember, this came RIGHT on the heels of screwing up the election in the same way, 97% odds of Clinton victory and everything.
Mr. Davis, the American media didn’t botch the reporting on this. They were part of the coup to take this president down! Now the RATS, the NeverTrumper Repukes and the media are in CYA mode as their coup failed!
This is a lie.
The “leading lights of journalism” didn’t get the story wrong. They were in on the hoax from the beginning.
They were following the script, willingly and gleefully.
They are not dupes. They are guilty of participating in the coup attempt.
They are enemy of the Republic and should be treated as such.

Botched? It was a resounding success.
I hope POTUS is as angry about all this as the Freepers are.
Botched? Really. Like Joseph Goebbels was actually a sincere chap who merely “botched” his take on all the stuff he said?
They didn’t botch anything except ethical journalistic standards, but given that they are actually hate filled leftist activists and propagandists, they actually did a decent job trying to overthrow our government.
I’m not going to ascribe prime culpability to the press on this one.
You had the head of House Intelligence (that’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are), ex CIA, FBI and DNI on the tee vee saying there is adequate and certain evidence Trump was a foreign agent and a traitor to the American people.
Not to mention the other dozens of members of the House and Senate from both parties saying the same thing.
And Trump had few high profile defenders.
The media just took in all that and it made them little-girl-excited. So they got caught up in the emotion of what nearly ALL government officialdom was saying.
In retrospect they didn’t do HALF the crazy, treasonous and deranged sh!t the outgoing administration and congress people did.
But they sure enjoyed it. Alot.
I believe he’s actually more angry.
The scumbags came after his kids with real threats.
I don’t think he has an ounce of mercy or forgiveness for them now.
I also believe this is why we see so many scumbags announcing their run for dem POTUS. They believe it’ll make them untouchable.

Napolitano now telling Cavuto he’s pretty sure “there’s damning evidence” in the report about Trump conspiracy and obstruction of justice - some “bad stuff” about the president.
Two jerks, those two.
The botched it in the sense that they didn’t lie enough to “get Trump.”
