Pete Buttigieg, the relatively unknown mayor of South Bend, Ind., is showing signs that he could emerge as a serious contender in the 2020 race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The first piece of evidence signaling the 37-year-old Buttigieg could break from the pack chasing a group of big-name candidates came from an Emerson Polling survey this weekend that showed him trailing only former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the Democratic race in Iowa.

They don’t believe that stuff either. That is simple verbal violence, they are taking maximum advantage of the low likelihood that they will end up receiving the punch to the face they deserve when they utter it.

It’s hard to say whether Buttplug would be more damaged by blacks staying home in droves or losing about 40% of them who do vote for Trump. But, he would be utterly destroyed.

the EC should stay as is; however, the notion of winner take all in each state, a corrupt practice used to muscle a party machine preferred candidate into nomination, should be made illegal...all states should adopt the Maine/Nebraska model of congressional district voting...
I honestly don’t think that a candidate whose name voters can’t even spell let alone pronounce without cracking up has a chance in hell, but hey, he belongs to a favored Democrat constituency so they’re obligated to roll with it.
Please let the ticket be Hickenlooper-Buttigieg or Buttiegieg-Hickenlooper. Nobody will be able to say that with a straight face.
