Full Title: Hundreds of Trump supporters carrying placards and wearing MAGA clothing gather outside Trump Tower in New York City for a 'Happy No Collusion Day' rally to celebrate the end of Robert Mueller's Russia probe
Local grassroots pro-Trump organizations throughout the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania areas had called supporters to gather, rally and network. [snip]
They rallied on the corner of 5th Avenue and 56th Street in New York City, outside Trump Tower.
Banners were held aloft emblazoned with a host of different messages, like, 'Happy No Collusion Day' while others showed their support for the president to serve a second term and waved flags saying, 'Trump 2020.'
The rally comes the day after Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered his long-awaited report to Attorney General Bill Barr...

FReepers like them so I guess they’re cool :)
I’m almost 51, and i’ve always had a thing about the stars and stripes being used for anything other than a flag.
But many very patriotic FReepers love these pants so I will try to come into the 21st century :)
It’s SICK.
Well Sunday is actually not that bad still.
But Saturday? Sorry Mr. President but I can’t drive into that nightmare and not physically up to making the trip by public transportation!!
I’m not much of a rally person. But I’ve always been kind of a loner, even in my younger days.
I did volunteer last time for my fellow NYer who worked down the block from me :).
And I likely will again.
57th and 7th. That’s an insanely busy area.
“Do to be the stinker but indictments against Triump can wait after he is out of office?”
The Southern District is looking for a crime so they can prosecute Trump. Trump should file a civil rights violation against the Southern District for these Politburo tactics.
I have to agree dp. I remember it starting in the mid to late 60s. It was a hippie thing (spit). Maybe somebody remembers it earlier. I don't.
I guess we’re not “cool” and “hip” :)
It’s not a generation thing because like I said, I was born in ‘68, and I was/am against it.
But the folks here that like it are patriotic folks so maybe I’m being stodgy.
I don’t know.
he won’t be out of office for another 6 years, and besides, indictments for WHAT? what CRIMES has Trump committed?
“There are NO sealed indictments”
remember when the anti-trumper trolls kept posting that there were 9,000 (or whatever) number of unsigned indictments issued by some judge, just ready to do whatever?
stars and stripes for uses other than flag....

At 50 years old you missed being old enough to see Abbie Hoffman wearing shirts like that and especially the MC-5 with a custom painted guitar of same. I guess Allen Ginsburg’s Uncle Sam hat doesn’t count as it already existed in that form.
The Hoffman image on a t shirt is available to buy now online. I saw it while refreshing my memory about the sixties clothes.
Things change. Sixties “You are hereby accused of being a socialist.” “Don’t call me that. It’s not true. I merely want fairness in income distribution. I am a Democrat.”
2019: “Socialist? Yeah, gee thanks. Glad you noticed. Which camera is on now?”
I’ve heard of hoffman and don’t like what i’ve heard.
As far as things changing, it wasn’t an accident.
The left was patient with pushing their agenda on Americans.
Give gays equal rights. Let gays be considered couples for taxes. Let gays get married. Treat transgenders equally...
I knew we were in trouble with “Will and Grace”.
The young jerks who were the McGovern and McCarthy volunteers are now fully invested in bringing socialism to the American people, with or without our consent.
Jerry Moonbeam Brown (a splinter group candidate at the McGovern convention in 1972) gave way to the worse CA Governor Gavin Newsom. That kind of thing has gone on all over America.
The young socialists and communists of that era did not gain maturity and wisdom---they just got older looking and more dangerous due to power over the mush headed products of our schools.
Well stated.
universities have killed us.
Most education institutions have killed us.
And it seems old liberal never die and they never fade away either!
Yeah. Like an old knee injury you think is much better now but then comes back aching on a rainy and foggy day.
MAGA BIGLY list ping!
Remember, good FRiends, don't post pix from Getty, AP or Reuters, and AFP JimRob has had to settle lawsuits in the past over this. Give our mods a break!
Half the universities in the country could close — including the entire Ivy League - and we would be better off.
Having formerly edited an agricultural newspaper, I have a soft spot in my heart for the land grant universities. I had a close working relationship with professors at Virginia Tech and North Carolina State, and occasional contacts with University of Florida and Clemson.
They were real scholars and glad to share their knowledge. Of course, being a professor at a “cow college” is just so very, very declasse in the eyes of our Leftist elites.
That is my memory too, but I believe they were using actual flags to make clothing then. That is a giant no no. I have a hard time with flag clothing but supposedly if not made from an actual flag it is supposed to be okay.
Many of the hippies went into education.
Big POTUS, Trump rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan next Thursday evening, March 28, 2019, Hope 50,000 to 100,000
Trumpies turnout to support our great POTUS Trump!!! Michigan has a population of about 10,000,000 people. they can easily turn out 100,000 folks.
If that ever happened the “Hate Trump” Media & the Democrat Party would implode into self-destruction right on the spot!!! Michigan and surrounding states ....just simply , “DO IT”!!!
If someone takes a U.S.flag and makes clothing or other products out of it then I find it offensive. If someone simply respectfully incorporates stars and stripes into the design of clothing or other products (and I am not talking about underwear, doormats or the bottoms of shoes) I have no problem with it.
It may be a fine distinction, but IMHO the former is disrespecting the flag and the latter is honoring it. It is like hanging banners with stars and stripes on the 4th of July.
“IMHO the former is disrespecting the flag and the latter is honoring it.”
Excellent logic.
