This is how much Nancy Reagan hated Barbara Bush

First lady Nancy Reagan — who was no fan of Barbara Bush — personally removed Vice President George H.W. Bush and his wife from the guest list for the 1985 royal visit by Prince Charles and Lady Diana, according to a new book.

USA Today’s DC bureau chief Susan Page offers the tidbit in her upcoming “The Matriarch: Barbara Bush and the Making of an American Dynasty,” according to Axios, which obtained an advance copy.

A draft of the guest list for the Nov. 9, 1985, dinner, one of the biggest social events of the Reagan presidency, shows the Bush names marked as deleted.

In another portion of the book, Page describes the time a hippo appeared ready to charge Barbara Bush while she was on a photo safari with two granddaughters in Kenya.

I wonder which would have gotten injured.

And OF COURSE she knew what her husband and her children and her whole damned family stood for and that was undermining America as a strong, free country and one that threatened the “New World Order”.

Was this presumed animus merely a catfight or was it real conviction by Nancy Reagan that the Bush clan, especially Barbara Bush who was always pro-abort, were simply Rinos liable to betray Ronald's conservative mission?

Nancy had a knack for determining who was serving her husbands presidential agenda and who was serving their own selfish agenda.

Easy to talk about a bunch of people who are already dead and can’t give their side of the story.

Nancy Reagan would only hate evil incarnate.. so yeah, a bookseller headline, certainly. There are too many evils yo truly hate to spend a moment on someone as inconsequential.

The Bush family is responsible for the fundamental transformation of the United States of America into North Mexico.

GHW Bush implemented a policy of non-enforcement that continued through his adopted son Slick Willy and his son W. and the Kenyanesian Usurper, whose main purpose to the Bush family was as precedent for George P. Bush’s own usurpation one day.

The media today acts like all these personal conflicts
are new to history. On the contrary, any reading of
Presidential history will show personal animosities
galore.

Wait! Didn't Trump just get cruisified for talking bad about someone who is dead? Why bring this up now? It is in the past is it not?

It's so hard to follow the ever changing leftist rules you need a scorecard.

the Making of an American Dynasty

Ah, the typical American dream - kaput in 3 generations. Prescott - GHWB - the corrupt little Bushes.

We're done and I hope they are too.

I think you’re right on the second option. Nancy had a keen political sense, and could discern the RINO character of GHW Bush & family. I’d wager that even as far back as the 1980 Republican Convention she was dead set against Bush being Reagan’s running mate.

At the time, however, Reagan had a Hobson’s Choice. He could not accept Ford as “Co-President” and so was backed into a concession.

It is fake news and completely unimportant what each woman thought of the other.

Nancy Reagan wasn’t exactly a perfect example of Conservative ideals. Look how her two children turned out. Jane Wyman turned out to be a much better mother than Nancy.

I personally removed my sister and her knucklehead husband from my Christmas eve party list 10 years ago after they said they had already committed to a party hosted by their son’s in-laws.........

Nancy was ferocious in defense of her husband especially after the shooting of President Reagan by Hinckley

And ain’t it funny. Reagan could have anyone he wanted as a veep..... as long as they were on the coup side of the JFK assassination. Warren commission Ford, or CIA Bush who couldn’t remember where he was that day.

Just another coincidence I’m sure.
