Immigration officials are unsure exactly when Carlos Juarez-Sanchez, a native of Honduras, first illegally crossed the border into the U.S.
But, they know he was deported in 2008. And again in 2013. And again in 2014.
Juarez-Sanchez, who had a history of arrests for multiple criminal charges dating back to 2003, repeatedly re-entered the U.S. each time he was deported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said.
Last July, ICE officials said they tracked him down to Perth Amboy. While officers attempted to arrest him, Juarez-Sanchez ran, hid under a front porch and led ICE agents on a chase through a local neighborhood, according to the criminal complaint against him.
During the chase, Juarez-Sanchez picked up a small metal tricycle from a yard, struck an ICE officer several times with it and attempted to take the agents gun, according to the complaint.
Juarez-Sanchez, 33, was sentenced Monday in federal court in Trenton to 12 months in prison for assault and resisting or impeding federal officers. He was also sentenced to 15 months for illegal reentry into the U.S. The sentences will run concurrently.

The comments at the new site are quite amusing.
Ooops, ‘news site’.
When I Jim going to give us edit?
Well, 15 months. The sentences run concurrently.
Slippery little puta...
So he will be back in the US voting for democrats just in time for the 2020 election.
15 months! Raca!
So now we have to use taxpayer money to feed him.
I say we need an Executive order that mandates castration for all illegals
How many taxpayer dollars were wasted on this one guy?
At current levels it would take the taxes of 5.76 million illegals to cover the costs of this one illegal.
When you consider the fact that half the population pays zero income tax; I believe this number grossly under estimates the true ratio.
wasting what could have been wall money
WTF?! They need to run consecutively or it's just a joke.
Instead of being sent to jail, he should be taken out behind the courthouse, shot in the back of the head, wrapped up in plastic bags, stuffed into a cardboard box, and mailed back to his family postage due.
More cost effective that way.
Therein lies part of the problem. Why not consecutively? Probably a plea bargain so the prosecutor can brag of another conviction.
Shiv?
What’s a shiv?
