Which betrays one of the big lies at the heart of the matter. Democrats cried “we must root out foreign influence in our elections” and of course most Americans agree with that. But that isn’t what they are trying to do. If they were, they would be investigating all the parties and people involved in the 2016 election.
Trump is right when he calls it a witch hunt. They are in search of a crime, a la the axiom “show me the man and I’ll find you the crime”. Again, that is not justice.

For the sake of his presidential legacy, and our country, this has to be the mother of all counter punches. Rudy and he have probably planned such a retaliatory strike for a long time. They want it to be shock and awe, a barrage of evidence that will demolish Mueller and the Deep State. At least I hope that is the plan.
As for Barr, to allow the DOJ and FBI to violate the trust placed in them by the American people would be a national disgrace. It would likely encourage others to do similar things to subvert our elections and the presidency itself.
