Gabriel Sherman reports in Vanity Fair that internal divisions are arising in Fox News coverage of U.S. President Donald Trump
Gabriel Sherman reported in Vanity Fair Tuesday that internal divisions are arising in Fox News coverage of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Shermans report came the day before 21st Century Fox sold off large assets to Disney and began trading under a new name Fox Corp.
"Donald Trump's alliance with Fox News has been one of the few constants throughout his shambolic presidency," Sherman wrote. "But in recent days, that bond has shown signs of fraying.
"Reporters are telling management that we're being defined by the worst people on our air," Sherman wrote, citing a senior source in Fox News.

I’d bet on FNC finding a way to get rid of Hannity first. And Carlson. And Ingraham.
Faux Snooze. The weekends are unbearable.
And Fox goes down the tube
Fox has been downright hostile to President Trump since that first debate. Who is Vanity Fair trying to kid? What liars.
“”Reporters are telling management that we’re being defined by the worst people on our air,””
the more liberals Fox hires the more those folks will speak up or do things to get semi conservative reporters ousted. The more Fox sides with liberals the less “fair and balanced” it is/ever was. Same as what is happening in all our states.
I have no doubt.
If Fox is looking to get rid of Hannity, putting Donna Brazile on was brilliant. I never turned the tv off so fast.
None of this speculation makes any sense market-niche-wise. Even if you corporate decision makers don’t politically align themselves politically with the right, or Trump, you are garnering far more viewers and ratings now than you ever would if you got into the weeds to complete with CNN and MSNBC for their demographics.
Fox has been downright hostile to President Trump since that first debate.

Fox News will go the way of its former star Megyn Kelly who descended into irrelevance.
For a rigidly pro Trump network, they sure let Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace do hit jobs during the 2016 debates. I have not watched FOX news since.
Cant stand Hannitys style of interrupting and talking over people, so I dont watch his show either.
Rupert Murdoch was the thinly-disguised basis for the villain Elliot Carver in the James Bond film ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ as he used banner headlines to manipulate public opinion.
Murdoch may have been occasionally guilty of this but his sons think it’s their job description to fill the internet and the airwaves with propaganda.
Fox Spews has been unbearable since the Katrina news coverage debacle. A few of use here have tried to warn the others, to little avail. Sure, its generally “better” than the MSM, but that aint saying much.
About this not making marketing sense:
Now that the bulk of FOX has been sold to Disney, the remaining stub is mostly FOX broadcasting. So, any big drop in viewership will be more visible on the bottom line.
Of course, the junior Murdochs may not care much, because they got their big payday through Disney stock on the buyout.
This has NOTHING to do with marketing.
It has EVERYTHING to do with the overthrow of America, our Constitution and our sovereign borders.
It’s the same goal employed at CNNNBCABCCBSNYTWP....
Sean pick your time cash your chips in. Time to start Trump TV! Murdoch is unloading Fox and you are a liability Trump is a liability in their eyes. Its great news. There is a cast ready to go Hannity, OReilly, Tucker, Judge Jeanine, Levin and Glenn Beck and anybody else that wants to make the move now is the time.
Dump Faux and cable TV for that matter. Faux has been subverting conservatives for years.
Fox News was anti-Trump during the primary and anti-Tea Party from 2010-2014. They became pro-Trump after he won. On Election night 2018, Brit Hume was complaining that Trump endorsed DeSantis, who they said was going to lose. I don’t watch it.
Bret Baier - who I don't think is all that bright - has been condescending and hostile to the president for two straight years.
“Donald Trump’s alliance with Fox News has been one of the few constants throughout his shambolic presidency,” Sherman wrote.

I had to look up that big word. Shambolic means confused or disorganized. I guess the “reporter” must be just a bit shambolic themselves.
