Gov. Andrew Cuomo charged Monday that the Democratic Party’s response to Rep. Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitic remarks was “muted” because too many of the party’s officials are fearful of retribution.
“You’ve had on the Democratic side voices of anti-Semitism. And I think some people were reluctant to vociferously stand up and condemn it because the whole political environment is so charged now,” Cuomo said on WAMC radio.
Cuomo was asked about the watered-down resolution passed by the House that condemned all forms of bigotry, not just anti-Semitism.
“Whatever you say, you’re going to get criticized by the other side … It was muted. It was muted because too many people feared the retaliation of this reptilian political moment, right? Lash out or run away,” Cuomo said.

What an odd statement.
First of all, "political moments" don't retaliate, voting blocs within the party (i.e., constituents) might though.
And second, what the hell is a reptilian political moment?
I suspect he is giving us some deep insight as to what is happening in the Dem party in that statement...if we can only figure out WTH he means.
If that’s the case, we nice quiet conservatives need to get dirty and put the fear in the dims. I always knew it worked that way...and I’ve said before, if you are the only one playing fair in a war with the devil.. you will lose!
I heard Ben Carson say last night, he believed in doing what is right.. that is my belief also...so where does that leave us in this war!
So Governor Cuomo has accused his fellow Democrats of being cowards.
His message, therefore, to the Muslim sisters in the House is: It’s okay, ladies, you can deliver whatever nasty, Hitler-ish anti-Semitic hate speech you can think of and no one will stop you.
And his message to the many Jewish citizens of New York, is: I’m too cowardly to protect you against anti-Semitism, so lotsa luck if things get out of hand, but of course I will do everything possible to keep you from buying guns so you can protect yourselves.
Just trying to keep their heads attached to their shoulders.
It’s a curious thing why Status Cuomo would say this - not that he is wrong, mind you.
I still say he is eyeing the Veep position on a Hillary-Cuomo ticket in 2020.
This is a political calculation with that in mind. The NYC Jewish electorate must be furious (and rightly so).
