The Federal Exchange Commission (FEC) fined Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) $35,000 for failing to accurately disclose loans to his 2012 Senate bid from Citibank and Goldman Sachs.
The fine stems from a 2016 complaint filed by the Campaign Legal Center (CLC) over a loans totaling $1,064,000. The FEC found that Cruzs reporting violated a campaign finance statute.

Since he’s a conservative he could get the death penalty for this /s
As has repeatedly been reported, the loans were public at the time
and fully disclosed on Senate ethics disclosures, but they werent
reported correctly on the FEC forms. This agreed settlement resolves
that filing mistake once and for all, the Cruz campaign said in a
statement to The Hill.
Federal election law allows candidates to take out loans from commercial
banks as long as they properly disclose the funding sources, the interest
rates paid and the loans’ terms. Candidates can also lend unlimited
amounts of their own funds to their campaigns.
Cruz is pretty phony overall. The preacher voice while he beds down with girls in closets and such. Not a fan.
Yeah, I remember this story broke during the primaries. Our favorite Cubanandian was the grassroots Tea Party conservative for Senate candidate. Financed by Goldman. Hilarious.
So Ted cant hire competent people and gets a $35,000 find for not complying with FEC regulations. Got it.
Might want to be careful with that particular rock.
Michael Cohen says hi.
You know every well the loans were not reported because Cruz the upstart grassroots conservative matched up with the establishment candidate Dewhurst. Nothing screams establishment like loans from Goldman Sachs. Ha ha.

LOL. Neil Bush says hi.
Hmm, so Trump was fined for not complying with FEC regulations?
LMAO...
Good thinkin Tex.
Surprise, surprise, a corrupt never Trumper.
Only takes 7 yrs to levy a verdict and fine. Unreal.
Yawn
The Jennifer and Jonathan Allan Soros Foundation are listed among individuals and groups funding the Campaign Legal Center....
nd s usual for far left enterprises the public face spokescritter/figurehead/Trojan horse is a handpicked “Republican,” like Comey and McCabe.
$35K fine to a U.S. Senator is like a $50 speeding ticket to you or I. It’s not worth getting excited about.
Cruz is better than 75% of the U.S. Senate. I’d rather Texas ditch Cornyn the Bushie than Cruz.
The FEC is an intentionally hobbled agency.
Any wonder why?.....................
