Isn’t Westinghouse japanese? Toshiba?
And then she gathered up some cow-pies with which to cook her dinner.
Rat meat and rice.
Yay India.
Brookfield Business Partners to buy Westinghouse for $4.6 billion
January 4, 2018
(Reuters) - A subsidiary of Canadas Brookfield Asset Management Inc (BAMa.TO) (BAM.N) plans to acquire Westinghouse Electric Co LLC, the bankrupt nuclear services company owned by Toshiba Corp (6502.T), for $4.6 billion.
The bottleneck for much needed nuclear energy in China and India is not the lack of capital. It is a dearth of experienced nuclear power workers to staff and safely operate the plants. The only real solution is to hire on long term residential contracts Russian, American, French and British experienced nuclear workers to staff the plants and over a period of five years train qualified locals.
Rats are eaten regularly in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, parts of the Philippines and Indonesia, Thailand, Ghana, China and Vietnam, says Grant Singleton, from the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines.

Good news in all
The Last Nuclear Power Plant Under Construction in the US (from 2018)

...but still no plans for indoor plumbing. That should be a prerequisite to sitting at the big boys table.
If only we could build nuclear power plants here.........
Your post is relevant to the thread, how?
But we are being bypassed here in the United States by the rest of the world in terms of building new nuclear generating plants. Nuclear generating would stop pollution of current electrical ganerating plants. It would automatically slow global warming. Jane Fonda is too old to object anymore or make movies like The China Syndrome. There would still be anti-nuclear demonstrations by stupid people who are too lazy to find out what it is all about, but we could deal with them. It makes all the sense in the world to restart building new plants.
It’s in response to #3.
It would automatically slow global warming.
Except many scientists of various disciplines are leaning heavily to global cooling for the nest 500 years. Its the cycles. its the sun.
I agree 100 percent.
All I can hope is that the new owners can clear out those at Westinghouse that sank the AP1000 projects in the U.S. I suspect that the reasons the Indians are even looking at a US designed plant is that they hate the Chinese and don’t trust the Russians.
Huh? India could be one of our best allies.
America needs to be building at least 6 more Nuke plants.
Guarding Iraqi borders.
Building nuclear power plants in India.
Medicating Mexicans in the Southwest.
What’s your basis for a cheap shot post like that?
