Lots of sicilians brought over the past 20 years.
Mafia took advantage of 9/11 and Feds going after terrorists to rebuild.
They are still a MULTI billion dollar organization and quite strong at this point.
Sicilians here know our govt goes after them hard so they don’t like hits in public.

But the least busy borough (and probably with the least cameras, unlike manhattan every 10 feet) made it a little easier to do it here.
it sends a strong message too that you’re not safe anywhere and Sicilians have taken over the Italian American mafia and they’re not afraid to hit you anywhere.
But they really like to keep things low key.

Because chopping him to pieces and burying him doesn’t draw much attention.
