The college admissions scandal: finally, a big story which the MSM can't pin to President Trump. But not so fast, my friend! Where there's a will to trash Trump, there's a way.
And so it was that this morning, CNN, with a big assist from New York Times columnist and CNN contributor Frank Bruni, found a way to tie the Trump family to the admissions scandal.
On New Day, Bruni suggested that a donation to Harvard made by Jared Kushner's father was not "morally different" from the crimes committed in the college admissions scandal. Right. Other than the Kushner donation being legal, and the crimes being, uh, crimes.

Basically, they think that them being out of power for a few years is an outrageous moral crime of the highest order.
Didn’t the Swimmer get booted from Yale for cheating, then went to Harvard, or visa versa?

The Clintons and Obamas almost certainly did not have to do anything to get their kids in. Seeing the surname on the application would be enough.
Booted from Harvard for cheating; was allowed to re-apply and was re-instated and eventually graduated with “mediocre” grades.
And Bruni, you’re not morally different from a turd. Maybe that’s why you work for the CNN sewer. You and the rest of the turds can enjoy each others company and compare shapes.

The laws are in place to deter this conduct.
Indeed the Jared situation is more than merely legal it was regarded by our law, our Congress, as a positive moral good because it rewarded it with tax deductions presumably to encourage such donations. So long as we as a country lay claim to the idea of innocent before proven guilty, unless an explicit quid pro quo can be proven between Kushner and the college, there is no there, there.
Certainly there is no moral equivalence.
