Strange, as observers of the Ethiopian crash on the ground also claimed to have seen fire and smoke before the plane crashed...
I hate that......................
Our son is flying southwest to Denver tomorrow.
This is a 737-900 which is a 737 Next Gen.
It is not the same model as the 737 MAX which is the newer series to replace 737NG.
Is someone intentionally sabotaging them or are they getting crappy Chinese parts?
Boeing is going to be sued out of existence unless they force end users to ground all those planes. (?)
I don’t think this is anything related to the Ethiopian crash.
Only co inky dink!!
in light of all previous Airbust issues
2018: If it isn’t a Boeing, I aint going
Fast forward to 2019: If it’s a Boeing, I aint going
That won't matter to kneejerk reactors.
The 737 has a remarkable safety record.

Is there video? I ask because witnesses on the ground almost always report smoke, fire, or explosion in the air...even when they didn't occur.

Is this the bird with the engine backlog? Or is that the MAX? Boeing cutting corners?
And the NG is the most common commercial jet flying. Not to be flippant, but stuff happens. The aircraft has redundant systems and hopefully a well trained crew. In this case, contingencies worked, and everyone landed safely.
Connection to the other incidence is probably non-existent, and is only a timing coincidence.
I’m going to guess its a software issue. Parts/hardware problems would have become obvious by now.
On a 737?
Can’t wait to hear what the black box from Ethiopia reveals. Sounds like the Lion Air crash was the flight monitoring system - maybe that was related to the Ethiopia crash too, but it sounds like this was an engine failure.
Everyone kept hitting the flight attendant call button.
Theres the answer to every problem.
Just keep hitting that button.
Yes, sir. How can I help you?
The wing just fell off the plane! What are you going to do about it!!!
Here. Have a bag of peanuts.
“Im going to guess its a software issue.”
I am wondering about that, too. The POTUS tweet about complexity is spot on.
Before I get too excited, I got to know if the Ethiopian crash was the same as Lion Air and was this Houston engine flame a bird strike or what?
Lots of speculation
Religion of Peace mechanics at Newark Liberty?
