My 90 year old mother, along with her father before her, we professional bookbinders.
They specialized in big, old family bibles and probably rebound thousands, maybe 10s of thousands over their careers.
Many older bibles look like autograph books! Many names signed on margins or verses circled or marked with dates and comments such as Great meeting you...and always remember Gods word in John 3:16, sincerely Josia Franklin. types of comments.
Not at all unusual, in fact, very common 1850s thru 1960s.
People who just lost everything used what they had to get an autograph. So what??
LOL - keep it up libtards. Every time you attack PDJT on weak issues like this you just galvanize his base. Here you bring the Bible into it too, so you lose x2.
I love how progressives think they can use Jesus, or in this case the Bible, when it suits them. Today the Bible is a “sacred book”, tomorrow they’ll go right back to mocking it.
But Socialist ‘artists’ can deface Bibles for ‘art’s sake’ and nary a PEEP from the Enemy Media!
For as it is written, "whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven" - Mt 16:19
Id never sign someone elses Bible, Wayne Flynt, an Auburn University professor emeritus told AL.com. Thats right next to sacrilege. Thats a holy book.
It is a good thing Flynt didn’t sign a bible. God might smite a heathen who did so..
Biden’s Chief Of Staff and a university professor acting as if they give a hoot about anything having to do with Christianity. That’s funny.
I think some entrepreneur could have a blast making quality crucifixes with an appropriate Bible verse and President Donald Trump signature embossed on the back.
There are many Democrats these days that have so trained themselves to reject the cross that they act like vampires around them, drawing back in pain. Anything President Trump related has the same effect, so they might burst into flame when they see it.
Since it was the will of the Almighty that Trump be president, I’d be honored beyond belief if Trump signed my Bible. I have Bibles full of notes from bible-study, some handed down with their own notes, so writing in and on a Bible with genuine faith in one’s heart isn’t such a big deal except for hystericals without a clue.
“displayed bibles signed by Bush and 0bama.”
Bibles signed by Obama ... now, THAT’S blasphemy.
Combining anything Trump with a crucifixes should have at least the same effect on leftwing vampires as combining a cross with garlic, stakes and mirrors.
I’m trying to find a good place to have a Bible re-bound. My parents gave it to me on my 20th birthday when I was in Seminary. It’s falling apart. I have others, but this one is special.
“Auburn University”
That explains a lot.
Auburn is one of the most liberal leaning schools in the state.
I’ve never heard of it unless you had your Bible signed by a minister, but I have no issue with it.
I have heard of religious books signed by celebrity religious figures auctioned off for charity, such as Dennis Prager selling signed copies of “The Rational Bible” for a thousand dollars each, the proceeds going to charity.
:: ugly on an ape ::
That’s simianism! Apes is quite beautiful, in their own way. You’re such a bigot!/s
Orangutans, with their puffy orange butt, now that is ugly!

Its a dying art. I havent met one since my mom quit five years ago. She is now at a retirement community and she asked that I donate all her bookbinding tools, letterpress, leather sheeting, etc to the local library.
30 years ago until recently, she would rebind all their valuable books. So when they built a new library location, they built in a display case that has been left empty, waiting for her equipment.
She still used presses from the 1800s and a letterpress from 1910s.
Received my BS from Auburn and majored in Industrial Management. I was astounded to hear the liberal professors side with unions over management every single time. One professor emeritus taught from a book he authored on quality control. A student queried what a keyway was that the professor used over and over as an example in his book. He said it was a hypothetical term, not based on reality. I had just let my job at a sawmill to attend the class and knew he no idea what he was talking about. Professor emeritus my hind leg.
This is going to work out really well because I doubt anyone will ever ask.
