That’s comforting.
By “we,” she means the almighty power of the state can change your behavior.

The next step, Communism requires elimination of the opposition “behavior” by eliminating the individual however possible. That is the truth. My wife and I grew up with people who were adults during the depression. They didn't waste anything. We are having to downsize and I have all this stuff that I need to part with, but its difficult because I want to find someone else who can use it. It is mostly going to charity, but even charities don't want stuff that would be difficult to sell.
I had to take a truly great TV to the recyclers the other day. It was still in perfect condition 30 years after we bought it. No one wants those big old power hungry cathode ray TVs anymore. The thing had much better speakers than most stereos these days and a powerful amp with full bass. The guy at the recyclers broke off the door that hid the controls, but he said that it didn't matter because they were going to be busting the whole thing to pieces.

But you are right. Man dont be counting on someone to change and base your decision on that.
I’ve known people, almost always poor whites or black girls from the projects, who had babies thinking that would somehow make their lives better.
Of course it Never does and the kids went on to become nothing but trouble on a high level.
