Republican. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky revealed this week that there are at least 10 Senate Republicans who will betray President Donald Trump and vote against his national emergency declaration.
While speaking at the Southern Kentucky Lincoln Day Dinner late Saturday, Paul said that he couldnt vote to give extra-constitutional powers to the president.

I guess everybody wants in on the border crashing going on.. Maybe he can go deliver care baskets to the new arrivals.
Sad when elected officials turn their back on their own country.. and march to the Left’s agenda.
They are forced to take it up. Not vote. There are a million ways McConnell could stop it if he wanted. Also, there are a million ways he could tighten some serious screws on the 10 Senators. One or two, I get, but 10 means he is fine with it.
They’ll just switch jerseys. The R jersey means less to them than it does to you.
Gotta love that 17th Amendment. /sarc
“The House passed a privileged resolution forcing the Senate to take it up within 18 days. “
ALso a privileged resolution is a mere House Parlimentary rule and there is not a word in the Constitution implying the House can demand the Senate vote on something.
Our entire government was literally and purposely designed to prevent the rabble in the house from running over the Senate at will.
we are already outnumbered, census is failed or altered, and they multiply like feral cats, while natural born Americans limit their families to 1 or 2, have a divorce and/or abortion, they all have about 6 kids each X 50 million, then those 6 have 36, then those 36 have 216, then those 216 have 1296 x 50 million is 640 million , in just 3 generations they can have over 600 million easy and we only have about 350 million people total now
no reason to panic, God is in control, the meek shall inherit, and the sins of the father(abortion), blah blah blah
Helluva good point, Lurk
He’s a backstabber. He only defeated Beto because of Trump’s help.
He still thinks he has a chance to win the White House. That is why people like Willard and Cruz line up against him.
So the Congress, instead of changing the LAW that allows Trump to declare emergencies, will pass a resolution condemning him.
But when Obama literally unconstitutionally wrote NEW LAW on DACA they were silent. No resolution condemning Obama.
Grrrrr
I’m done hearing about this jerks virtue...
Congress passed and the president (Gerald Ford) signed into law the National Emergencies Act in 1976. It does not violate any provision of Articles I or II of the Constitution and has been used over 50 times since it was passed. Now that President Trump wants to use it to secure the border, it’s an issue?
It’s pretty clear that we no longer have a representative republic and haven’t had for quite some time. Our elected “representatives” represent someone other than us.
See Eric “Cant”or...
the militia is busy working until tax freedom day to support the huddled masses and the rest of the year to pay off usery interest loans and ridiculous energy and entertainment bills that subsidize the huddled masses
I can suddenly name 10 Republican districts that should be getting lots of NEW “Americans”.
DID ANYONE ever voice any complaints during the 8 years that Obama was using Emergency Declarations???
At least here in CA we KNOW that our two Senators are out to f*ck us and the entire country as well! Actually, I hope Fineswine hangs on a while longer, because in today's RAT Party she exemplifies some degree of sanity, along with a measure of creeping senility.
Grahamnesty has to run in 2020.
He is smart enough to know he cannot run against Trump.
He probably thinks if he is seen assisting on a fence, he can still get that amnesty he’s been working on for over a decade.
Grahamnesty has not changed his spots, only his tactics.
He still wants amnesty for the 30 million already here.
It's time we realize that the political game is rigged and decide on new options.
You point out how voting is ineffective then advise to vote.
Burden.
