This is a pretty significant pickup for the GOP in Kentucky tonight. #SD31
Democrats are doing pretty poorly overall in 2019 special elections thus far. They are at risk of giving back quite a bit of ground to the GOP if they can't right this ship.

The MSM uses “censorship by Omission”. They don’t report anything that reflects badly on their partners, the Democrats.
For instance, The New Green Deal gets very little attention.

The Trump 80% and dems holding that seat smells of vote fraud.

Uhhhh ... ONE of the things that drew me into FR oh so many moons ago was the fact that we all WERE locals that met up on a national hotline.
Back in the day (if I recall correctly), we discoursed on the general Conservative theme USING our hometown understandings (with appropriate local revealings as a basis)

Is this a State seat, or a U.S. seat?

We don't hear much about the outlier elections that reflect how fed up voters are. Our example is this state rep district in OH. It's a weirdly shaped district, aimed at collecting the small mostly white towns south and east of Cleveland. At last count, the district was 2% black and 3% Hispanic. It's a "give me" for whomever the Republican establishment chooses. Their choice lost to a black candidate who ran an intelligent, underfinanced, respectful campaign. The establishment candidate was backed by glossy campaign materials from PACs. (last thing Columbus needs is more bought and paid for pols, now even at that lowly level)
AOC is that kind of surprise. The establishment (both parties) keeps pretending they don't get the message, just keep fighting back harder to suppress all of us.

"Funny how you dont hear a word about it in the MSM, huh? Two years ago if a Democrat running for dog catcher in Sheboygan won it was front page news." The Media... Well, don't buy their news papers, don't watch their tv news and don't buy their advertised products.. Pretty soon all those liberal fagots would be out of a j-o-b..

Now, if Kentucky could flip the seat held by McConnell it would be even better. Flip it to a CONSERVATIVE that has a spine.

These sorts of legislative victories would matter BIGLY if not for the 17th Amendment which gave us the direct election of Senators.

I am seeing a pattern here.
These special elections seem to be flipping to the R’s easily but if it was a major election such as mid-terms, the D’s are the ones to win. Gee, easier to hide the corruption in the bigger elections???? I’d say so.

Agreed. I said the same on election night. The Democrats winning the House and being really nuts for all to see for 2 years will help Trump a lot in 2020.

Bevin is unpopular with a powerful political constituency, teachers, because he is earnestly working on getting an unsustainable defined-benefit pension plan under control.
Every time I look at this guy, I like him more.
