The last time I walked past that store at our local mall, I was appalled to see the mannequins wearing underwear that had a hole on the butt side right where it counts (purposeful).
There’s only one reason for that hole being there and it ain’t for natural bodily functions. The subliminal message was received loud and clear. Easy butt sex
Agreed. I avoid that place like the plague.
Online shopping is in my experience the most economical way to shop for items you don’t need to feel (fabric, draperies, clothing). When I needed new tires, the associate at Walmart told me to buy online instead, at walmart.com, to save money.
For whatever reason, Walmart offers discounts online that they don’t offer for the same item in store.
Buying the same tires at my local dealership would have cost nearly twice as much!
Another thing I don’t buy online: computers. I want to see not only the computer, but the person I’m buying it from; and hear his policies on satisfaction, repairs, upgrades, etc.
Same with vehicles.
But whenever possible, yes, shop online!

We made that discovery about 3-4 years ago. My old HP printer was dying, and a friend told me to check Walmart on line for the HP that I wanted.
I did, and two hours later picked up my new HP for about $40 less than the store model.
Later we bought a Dyson stand up vacuum cleaner for about $`100 less than their floor price. The gal, who brought my New Dyson to the special counter, called her manager to make sure that there was no mistake. When she was told there was no mistake, she ordered one for herself.
We have bought high end micro waves, Cuisinart programmable coffee pots, some semi high end sporting good items and a small free standing food freezer.
Home Depot has something similar, except you need to go to the store and ask a senior rep what type of online deal they have for name brand washers, dryers, refrigs, yard furniture, charcoal/gas cookers or what ever.
The difference here, is HD doesn’t stock these items nor advertise them. You must order from the senior rep and pay for delivery, setup and removal of old appliance unless the amount is over a set amount. When it is tabbed up, I ask for my Vet discount and get it most of the time.
A few days later, the appliance is delivered, set up and the old one is then carried away.
The advantage for HD is: they sell an item that never came into their store nor was handled by an employee. It took maybe 5-10 minutes of the senior rep’s time.
One of our sons doesn’t care for HD, he got the same deal from Lowes for the same price on a combo gas/charcoal unit that we got from HD. The two guys delivering the unit removed it from the shipping box and set it up on his back deck in minutes. They took the shipping box and straps and put them in the back of the truck. They came back before they left town to get our son’s old charcoaler, they bought for $20 from him. He bought a filled propane tank from Walmart with the $20.
15 years ago, my wife’s Mercury Sable went through its 3rd radiator in about 3 years past warranties. I said no more American cars.
One of her SIL’s was a Lexus owner and fan and so was a friend out here. My wife drove the friend’s Lexus for a day and fell in love with it.
I contacted Costco and made a deal to pickup an #ES300. We got to the dealer and a customer had just brought back one with 100 miles on it. It was too small for him and his golf clubs. We got it for $1500 less than the Costco one. She still has it and still loves it.
Later Honda came out with their Ridgeline. One of my sons was coveting my OJ Simpson Bronco. So, I made a deal with him re no birth day, Christmas and other presents for 5 years, and he got the Bronco. He still has it and still loves it.
I had a bad experience with the local dealer and walked out and didn’t buy a Ridgeline from him. Our banker heard about it from my wife and told me to expect an email from Honda and it was not a scam based on our credit rating.
Sure enough the email came in and I filled it out and sent it back. For about 15 minutes, we didn’t hear back. Then we got an email with a sweetheart lease and buy later option.
We drove 12 miles and got a brand new one and drove out after $1200 to pay the down payment, lease arrangement and licensing. I had low payments for 3 years and had the option to buy. We bought it and used our line of credit at our bank to buy it. After driving it for a year, I knew that it was a great vehicle. It worked good for my fishing/hunting and my wife’s special shopping trips where a pickup is handy.
The reason I bought the Omron monitor from Amazon is because the last one I ordered five years ago became a chew toy for my rottie puppy. It served me well (and must have tasted good).
I bought a new 4Runner online through a local Toyota dealer, with a $2000 below sticker rebate from Costco. Drove it, loved it, wrote a check, took it to Oregon and back. Never once talked to a sales manager.

Isn’t that a great feeling. Costco members can’t believe how easy it is to buy a vehicle via Costco.
How will they be able to even FIND a Gap now that so many are closing??!!

You have to be comfortable in your shoes. I agree with that.
Some shoes look pretty marginal until you put them on and they are the most comfortable things you’ve ever worn.

For a decade plus, I have bought computers online from Costco.
I wait for a sale, with free delivery and get the computer in a few days.
Costco’s two year computer guarantee is great if/when something goes wrong.
I was going to buy my wife an IPad from the Costco with their great prices.
Our family IT, an 18 year old grandson suggested buying the small Acer chrome book for what it does, the reality that most of her Android phone apps are available on the Chromebook.
Then, he mentioned the 2 year guarantee that the Chrome book had as it is considered a computer and versus the IPad with a much shorter guarantee.
It took less than 30 minutes to transfer the apps and get her started with Google Chrome on the Acer Chromebook.
She loves the fact that it folds 4 ways, and she can use her finger, a stylus, the built in mouse or a plug in mouse to enter data or compose an email or written data.
She uses it to communicate with her health care provider.
She just completed the massive data requests for the new California Driver’s license.
They deliver it to my door....cheaper than I can pick it up.
Although....I've never shopped in "the Gap",,or "Vicky's".....I will never own a Tesla...either.
