HANOI, Vietnam Talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un are wrapping up earlier than expected.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters on Thursday that "negotiations are still ongoing" between the two delegations. Trump and Kim were scheduled to have lunch but did not enter the dining room where reporters were assembled.

I think that Sundance may be right—Trump putting off the tariff increases to China may have been the cave that caused Xi to force the harder line from Kim.
Well, too bad. Susan Rice and Madeline Allbright will be saying “He should have done what we told him!´; And all of the media, 95% of the politicians and 53% of the peasantry will agree.
I am not sure if the tariff delay was a bad move or not (when is a "delay" not a "delay?"), but I can't see how the ventriloquist show in DC (with the oleaginous Michael Cohen doing his Charlie McCarthy turn) did much damage. I could, of course, be wrong.
Stay calm.....Trump knows exactly what he is doing. A long time ago, when I was stupid, a great boss of mine taught me a most important lesson on being a successful negotiator, saying, “Son, the deal you walked away from may be the best deal you ever made”. POTUS, Trump you done good!!!
Kim thought he was negotiating with Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer or that idiot es-POTUS, Traitor, Obama. Kim got a lesson from the master, DJT. Now...when or if, he comes back to the table, he will either deal in good, honest, fair faith, or, he will walk away empty handed. Bravo....Trumpie!!!
We wouldn't be in this mess with Korea if it weren't for feckless dumb**es like Clinton and Albright.
Agree 100% with your post Grayfox.
Bigger fish to fry, in this pic, as well (cough, cough...China).
Where 0 & Co would happily acquiesce to Norks, Trump shows them who is in the driver’s seat/in charge.
Great leadership from a great President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.
Oh well, no harm in talking.
Good effort, lads!
Cohen might have something to do with it.
Which was scheduled first: The summit or the testimony?
the president in walking away caused Kim to lose immense face. The loss of face is a tremendous blow to Kim’s international standing.
Kim is shown to be the lightweight he actually is
I just heard of FNC that Trump and Pompeo showed Kim some intelligence that the US had after Kim told the press he wanted to denuclearize.
During the last press conference PDJT’s demeanor was very different. He was not happy, wearing a scowl and specifically was not looking at Kim at all - very unlike the prior press conference.
Something did not go well.
I agree with you. Chinese intervention coordinated with democrats
Michael Cohen had nothing to do with this outcome. Fat Boy wouldn’t budge on his stance on the sanctions and Trump rightfully wouldn’t either. That’s all it is. There will be another day.
Nope, this is The Art of The Deal in progress.
Patience grasshopper.
If Trump were the weak man that the FLeepers and the Media claim he is, he would have negotiated any deal he could get in the hopes that his numbers would go up at home. Frankly, he don’t give a darn! He’ll hold off for the best deal and the Media (and FLeepers) can go pound sand.
pardon my ignorance
what is a FLeeper?
He said he was in no hurry a dozen times yesterday. Kim knew he had to give up his weapons and refused so there was nothing to discuss after that.
FNC reported that Trump and Pompeo showed Kim some intelligence that they feel caught Kim off guard, i.e., that maybe Kim didn’t know that the US had that intelligence.
