HANOI, Vietnam — Talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korea's Kim Jong Un are wrapping up earlier than expected.
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters on Thursday that "negotiations are still ongoing" between the two delegations. Trump and Kim were scheduled to have lunch but did not enter the dining room where reporters were assembled.

well you gotta figure policy advisers to Kim are whispering to him that Pence isn’t nearly as formidable a presence and the advisers also wrongly think that Trump is close to being kicked out.

I think Kim got a phone call from Chairman Xi, after he heard that Kim was interested in denuclearization.
If my hunch is right, I wouldn’t want to be on China’s team when negotiating tariffs with DJT in the upcoming days/weeks.

I’m guessing Kim wanted sanctions lifted before he does much of anything. Who knows.
